Smith’s Bar & Grill is nestled in Paddington, Central London, it is the first place you see when you walk under the bypass behind Paddington Station.

Known for its high ceilings and almost full-length windows, the natural light in Smith’s is just as nourishing and wholesome as the comfortable furnishings and exquisite selection of food and drink that we serve.

The venue is split into the areas:
• Main Restaurant
• Main Bar & Lounge Area
• Outdoor Terrace Canal-side


Smith’s is an ideal venue for weddings, on-location filming, major launch events, and multi-stage music and entertainment events.
The whole venue can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 400 standing. Its proximity to Paddington Station (50 yards from the Hammersmith & City Underground entrance) makes it quick to get to for those coming from out of town.

    We went for dinner here. Was really pleased we booked as I don’t think we would have got a table otherwise. The restaurant is fantastic. We were made to feel welcome on arrival. We ordered the fillet steak and baby chicken with two sides. The meal was incredible and the steak was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was really attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine and looked after us really well. Would highly recommend.

    Nice food but portions are on the shall side. The meat was good but potatoes & veg in our roasts were bearly warm so disappointing. Service was good other than one main course arriving late compensated by a free drink for our guest while he watched us eat. Possibly return for drinks but unlikely for a meal. Nice atmosphere and quite lively.

    Went for some drinks and the £1 oysters deal, the drinks were alright, the oysters ,however, not so much, 2 out of 3 I had were full of shell bits. The waiters also didn’t bring any forks for the oysters as they weren’t prepped, or a spoon for the sauce in a ramekin. Overall disappointing.

    Fab location. Lovely food. Nice service although waiters could do slightly more and easily go up their game a little with rapport with diners instead of congregating and chatting at the bar area Overall very nice. With a little bit more elevation around service could be superb !

    I was kept waiting for ages at the door while the hostess was on the phone. Ordering was ok, but the basket of bread was inedible as it had been heated in a microwave and was like chewing gum. We weren’t charged for it, but we wanted some nice bread! The waiter just said ‘that’s our bread’. We each had a salad: a Chicken Caesar, but the chicken was overcooked; a crab salad that was nearly all baby spinach with perhaps 25 grams of crab; and a Thai salad that had a sweet chilli dressing that was sweet, but little chilli. We won’t be going back.
