    Our lunch sandwiches came out tepid and not warm, as the French fries. While the food was very good - the sandwiches could have been a bit warmer. While we understand this is the busy season of the year, a little bit of quality control and attention can go a long way and make the customer truly enjoy the lunch experience. We look forward going back for dinner.

    My friends and I wanted to something special for the Holiday. This was the perfect option! The atmosphere was authentic, the service from was amazing, the food was delicious! I will be back again and again to enjoy this beautiful part of our history!

    Noise was terrible. I remember when there was dining in the original rooms. That was relaxing and felt like going back in time. Now it is like dining at any old restaurant.

    Our experience at Smithville Inn this time did not meet their usual standards. I had friends visiting and decided to take them there for an enjoyable holiday meal. I made the reservation a week ahead of time and when we were seated I asked for the table downstairs which was open and they said it was reserved. I also made a reservation!!! We were seated at the upper part of the restaurant which had a table that was opened for 6 people. We ordered onion soup and could not eat it properly because the table was on a slant. Not pleased with the hostess at all!!! The burgers were overdone and not warm at all.

    Menu was very good. Something for everyone. We all got something different. Everything was delicious except the fries. Need work. I would come back because that pot pie looks amazing.

    Great food and service even with the busy holiday rush. When i booked all they had was “high top tables”, i assumed hightop bar stool’s. All the regular table reservations were booked so i selected high top. When i got there, all the tables were the same normal dining tables. It was just some were a step or two up on a higher level in the same room. The food was excellent and large servings. I will definitely return to this restaurant.
