Soby’s New South Cuisine is an eclectic blend of contemporary continental cuisine infused with traditional Southern ingredients, transforming old favorites into something fresh and new. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Greenville, in a renovated cotton mill built in the 1800s. The atmosphere is warm and energetic and the staff is well-trained to provide a fantastic dining experience for all of our guests. In addition, the wine list offers more than 500 selections and is a Wine Spectator Magazine award-winner regular.

                                            This was my second visit at Soby's in one week. The first time, everything was 5 star. The second visit was disappointing. The waitress was the difference. She never asked if there was any allergies/food sensitivities. She didn't tell us the specials. She never came back to check if the food served was good. If she had, I would have told her the mashed potatoes were cold. I'm glad this was my second experience, not my first. Otherwise, I never would have returned.

                                            Food was delicious and server was attentive but respectful. In addition they have a great wine offering. And of course whether you sit inside or out, there is a welcome charm.

                                            Shrimp and grits was a delicious meal. I was impressed with the flavor of the grits by themselves without the flavorful sauce from the shrimp. The Osso Bucco was delicious but small portion of meat on a big bone, and its risotto was spectacular in flavor. The service was excellent as well.
