   I got the trout and it was ok the sweet potatoes were dry Our waitress was ok just a little slow Probably won’t go back

   Excellent food and service, as well as a lovely greeting up front. Next time, we will reserve a downstairs table, as we did not, and we are in our seventies. However, the table location did not hinder our server, who was delightful and energetic, and it most likely contributed to a quieter atmosphere, so all good. We will definitely return. A great experience!

   We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They sat us upstairs, at a nice table. The service was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable about the dishes, and came across legitimately friendly. As good as it gets. We ordered crab cake and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. The crab cake was good and the tomatoes excellent. For main courses my wife had the trout, which was crispy on one side and juice on the other side, and came with outstanding sides. I had grits with shrimp, which was to die for. They don't put cheese on their grits, they make it light and delicious, and elevate the dish. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the sauce excellent. My wife managed to eat an apple turnover with ice cream the byte I took was pretty good. We both had drinks, and both drinks were very well done. This is the second time I visited Atlanta and I made a point of returning to this restaurant. It was a good decision.

   Fresh, flavorful, and filling — came here for my birthday dinner, and it was a fantastic choice! Loved the side of corn muffins and biscuits that came with our meal, too! Don’t miss out on the fried green tomatoes.

   I am deeply disappointed with my recent dining experience at your establishment. I ordered a medium-cooked pork chop but was served one that was well-done and tough. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction, I was then presented with a rare pork chop, which is equally unacceptable. This level of inconsistency in food preparation is alarming and reflects a significant decline in the quality standards I once associated with your restaurant. I urge you to address this issue promptly to prevent further erosion of your establishment’s reputation.

   This was our most outstanding meal in a visit to Atlanta that contained numerous exceptional dinners. South City beat them all. The care of each dish, the expert wait staff, and accessible but elevated vibe all culminated in a rich and unforgettable experience.

    Delicious food, great ambience, excellent service (Delano was totally amazing - very knowledgeable, outstanding service and so very friendly). Really enjoyed our experience and will come back for more!
