    We had a wonderful pre-show dinner on New Year’s Eve. The food was outstanding. I fear that Southpark gets forgotten in the rush to “the best new” restaurant.

    Our hotel concierge, Sheryl, recommended this restaurant and specifically their clam chowder because the clams are still in the shell. I’m so glad we went. Our waiter, Luke J was phenomenal, even giving us tips on things to do. We had the clam chowder, mushroom puffs and a salmon & cheese board and all were excellent. Their crackers and gelato are made in house and delicious. We’d definitely come back.

    While the meal portions have shrunk and the cost has grown (since our first visits in the 1990's), Southpark meals continue to be well prepared, even innovative, and the service dutiful. Home runs this visit were the clam chowder and swordfish! Needs improvement is the chicory salad which was tasty but only 1.5 oysters sat atop, and the cioppino was all shellfish - maybe a bad scoop not having any chunks of fish - and the toast was burned. Their location and dining room size is hard to beat, so I'm sure that we'll be back.
