   Didn't realise this restaurant was part of a hotel. We were the only people there for our anniversary meal, so very lonely & next to no absence. The food was ok. I had "surf & turf croquets, which were very bland and gloopy inside. For mains we both had lobster, which again were ok, nothing special, just ok. The 12.5% "discretionary" service charge which is automatically entered onto the bill doesn't seem "discretionary", more like compulsory. Didn't consider it great value. The "Anniversary dish" at the end was a nice touch, but sadly didn't make up for a mediocre meal.

   The meal was awful. Both myself and my husband had a rare steak. I’ve never known a steak cooked rare to be so tough to cut. It was also burnt on the outside and tasted awful. The accompanying chips looked like they were from a frozen bag at the supermarket. I took a bite of one of the onion rings and there was no onion- only mushy batter. The waiter never asked how the meal was at the end- maybe he didn’t want to hear the answer. Reviews had given it 4.5 stars overall! We’ll definitely never be back. Would suggest avoid at all costs.

   Lobster wasn’t great and chips were too chunky and not fresh. Overall, it was just ok but good service from the team and nice mocktails

   Restaurant was uncomfortably warm inside. Steak was not prepared as requested and replacement also not prepared as requested. This meant one diner waited for the second meal to arrive so meal became cold. Cocktails were ok, way overpriced for the food and service we received. Won’t be returning.

   Overall very poor. Service was atrocious, with empty plates being left on the table and nobody really taking any care. Lots of staff were available to help but nobody came to help. The food was very mediocre, presentation was poor but the taste was ok. I got the surf and turf and there was practically no meat on the lobster. The restaurant as it was in a hotel had a very weird vibe, the room was incredibly bright and just felt weird. I would not go again. Do not recommend! Do not go!

    Booked the two course meal for £40. As a hotel resident I also had an email to say 10% off food and drink. 4 of us to eat . 3 had pate starter which was nice but could have done with more bread. I had spicy beef taco with crème fresh. Could not taste the beef or spice and was average taste. Main course we all had steak with paprika fries and I ordered the salad which was £8. Was very underwhelming. Firstly fries... I expected thin fries with a nice coating of flavour but got normal oven style chips with a scarce sprinkling of paprika. They were also undercooked. Not nice at all. We also had to ask for salt, pepper. Vinegar and side sauce. The steak also received mixed views. Mine was very fatty And we all said not very flavoursome. The £8 salad? Was a bunch of rocket with a dressing. Extremely overpriced. . I appreciate its London prices but it was not worth the money at all. The service started out ok but I think as it became obvious we were not impressed , we were purposely ignored. The table next to us even commented on that. I told the waiter I wasn't happy with the chips and he offered to cook more which I didn't want. When the bill came, with no 10% off he got the manager. I found him aloof and said what do I want? I said I think at least a meal should be deducted. I also pointed out the 10% needed to come off. Despite the email I received saying ALL FOOD AND DRINKS ( no small print) he said it won't apply as we had the set menu. I felt a bit cheated to be honest. He then altered the bill and said he took off £30 of drinks and the salad. Upon return I still felt at nearly £200 it was just not worth it. I had to remind him that the 10% STILL needed to come off the carafe of wine and I requested took 12.5% service charge off. Verdict - nice decor. Modern. service Average, when bill So suffice to say we won't eat there again. Not worth the money. Our breakfast bagel from the shop further down the road the next morning was Delicious!
