   The food wa terrible. Steaks and salads were mediocre. So many other options in the city. The decor was also tacky and outdated.

   The food is always consistently good and the service is great. Friendly and welcoming immediately upon arrival and very attentive yet not pushy waitstaff. Great restaurant in good location.

   We had to wait for 30 minutes despite having a reservation. The manager was extremely nice, though, and did not charge us for a round of drinks and gave us a free dessert. The ambience is great, food is great.

   10/10 would absolutely recommend. Sensational service. Attentive and outstanding. Regaled us with stories of old Brooklyn. 90% men at the restaurant. Would return.

   Another memorable experience at this New York City institution. If you have never been to the restaurant, you will initially come for the amazing food—and keep returning for the outstanding team and service. It was surprisingly packed on a Wednesday night, and yet quiet enough for a conversation, while everything worked with precision watchmaker standards. A true gem!

   We wanted steak and randomly chose Strip online from a Google search because it was local , got a quick table reservation and walked over. The ambiance was old time NYC, the staff top notch, and menu perfect, and the food was amazingly delicious and perfectly prepared. Better than the better known steak houses BY FAR. What a find! Ive lived in the neighborhood for over 30 years and this establishment was here for 25, but NYC being what it is, I’d hadn’t been there. Aged porter house for 2 was SO PERFECT, bacon starter, salad and the 1000 layer Potato side, three specialty drinks with tip was about $300. A lot, but no regrets. I’ll be back. Thanks Buddy!

   Very pleasant maitre’d and greeting service. Sat at the bar for drinks while waiting for our entire party. Bartender was professional, prompt, and friendly. Food was outstanding. Everything from appetizers, to steaks. We had way too much to eat to even think about dessert! Dante was a professional, courteous server who didn’t hover but was always in attendance. Our water glasses seemed to never empty which is a real treat when eating salty/spicy foods. Only issue was the flimsy chairs. Several of the larger men in our party felt unstable as if they were waiting for their chairs to collapse. Tables were also super-close together. When a large table was seated adjacent to us, the waiters kept bumping into people seated at our table as they squeezed around the adjacent table.

   Good food, priced fairly. Cool ambience. Overall worth the visit. Would go back but there are better steak places in NYC
