A progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites. James Beard Award nominee Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern menu.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

I sat at the bar while waiting for my party to arrive enjoying a Belle’s Punch and deviled eggs. Every interaction with the team, from the hostess to casually chatting with a manager to the wait staff was very positive. The food was delicious!! Highly recommended.

Ben our server was friendly and attentive and explained the dishes well. Challenge fit me was that the I do not eat spicy food and I felt that many dishes had obviously spicy ingredients. I also had not realized it was a Korean - Southern fusion. Which led you to unique ingredients yet also added to the spice level.

Overall, a decent experience. We were there for Sunday brunch and I think they couldn’t keep up. We were wedged in as a table of two between a 12 top and two six tops, that was less than pleasant. Our server was friendly and did her best to keep up. We had a less than welcoming entry as we introduced ourselves to the host. I don’t know why restaurants continue to use those useless paper straws, if you want to save the world by using non plastic straws there are better options. We had a good meal and would recommend if you are considering the place but I am not overwhelmed with desire to go back.

The food was excellent. We had the devil eggs, wings & fried pickles for our appetizer. Dinner was salmon and chicken and waffles. Besides the food being delicious, our waiter Xavier was the best.

My wife and I had dinner with our two boys. We did the “Taste of the South,” and we’re glad we did. It would to have been tough to pick from the menu, but doing the tasting gave us a good idea of a lot of the offerings. It was one of the better meals we’ve had in a long time. Our oldest boy says it’s his new favorite.

Succotash is my go to restaurant for breakfast and brunch meetings with family, friends and colleagues. The service is excellent. The food is excellent. The environment is excellent albeit mood lighting. I like to sit indoors at the booths and I’ve always enjoyed the complimentary appetizers from management. The deviled eggs are my favorite!

Our sever was great but we were so disappointed with the Thanksgiving menu food. This was our first time coming to succotash so we had high expectations but unfortunately almost all of the food fell short. The starter salad was overdressed with oil and was not a very cohesive dish. The cornbread was just ok (as most breads are when you bake them in tins that small). My husband said the deviled eggs were just ok as well, he loved the pickled veg inside but was not wowed. As for the main course, the turkey was juicy so that was good. The stuffing was literally awful, a grit like consistency with no flavor. I’m shocked this dish was apart of the menu/was tasted and approved. The potatoes and Brussels were average but nothing really wowed us. Same can be said for desserts (minus the truffles which were actually just bad versions of cake pops). Overall we’d be willing to try again if we knew the food was going to improve. It seems like other diners felt the same way about the Thanksgiving menu based on what others were saying.

For the third time, we ate Thanksgiving lunch/dinner mid-afternoon at Succotash. The crowds from early had left and the evening folks hadn't come, so it was relatively quiet. There is one menu for Thanksgiving, so we didn't have to make any decisions. Everything was great and we brought some turkey and ham, a deviled egg, and brussel sprouts home with us. The salad vanished quickly, as did the mashed potatoes and green beans. Desserts are so cute, and it is great to have several to sample. /They didn't make it home with us either! Our only addition was mugs of the hot mulled cider (sans Bourbon - no alcohol for us). It is truly worth it!
