Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint is the continuation of a deep history of music, food, drink and socializing in the South. Located in the former Macy’s building in the heart of downtown Atlanta at the iconic 200 Peachtree St. address, Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint brings to the city a place to relax while enjoying live entertainment and exceptional cuisine. A per person entertainment fee will be applied to your bill, this does not apply on Sunday's. Historically, juke joints originated in the rural outskirts of many southern towns to give African American communities a place to kick back and unwind after a long week of work. Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint represents diverse culture, featuring music across all genres and popular hits throughout American history.     Excellent food. Excellent service. Strong drinks. Had shrimp ‘n grits and got hush puppies for the table. The only annoyance was that it wasn’t clear WHEN the live music would be playing. I can see how it would be annoying to pay the entertainment fee if the band wasn’t playing. We ended up only hearing a couple songs during our time and that was probably because we ate slowly. Our table was at 6:15 and the music didn’t play until a few minutes after 7. I will definitely return but just make a later reservation.

    Visited Sweet Georgia’s last night. I was a little skeptical because of the upcharge for the live band. $10 per person. But I must admit, the vibe was good, and the music was good, although the fried green tomato’s need some work. Our server Will was very attentive and the food was good. I would recommend trying this place.

    Good food, good service. Guest were just louder than the live band and kids sitting behind me, not a good 1st experience for me. I was there almost an hour and I couldn’t take the noise. No one respected a “live” band. Good food though !

    Made a reservation, had to alter the number on our party and even had a confirmation the day before. The restaurant was closed when my party of 7 showed up at the appointed time. Nothing from the restaurant.

    We really enjoyed our experience! Our waitress, Jaiya was the absolute best! Her customer service was amazing! She was very attentive! We will definitely be returning!
