    This restaurant is what I call a tourist trap. These prices are higher than Ruth Chris or Flemmings. The quality of the food doesn’t even come close to these two chain restaurants. You know you’re in trouble when you get to the restaurant and they have this massive glass window into the kitchen. When you look in you see a bunch of guys that look like they’re 22 years old. Now don’t get me wrong I don’t wanna be someone who judges them just because they’re young, but you do have to question experience with people this young. They primarily cater to people that are out of town and so they don’t really have to look at repeat business. It being in the heart of Zion national Park they get tourists from around the world repeatedly. This is definitely not a local spot. It also would not be a spot anybody would attend twice.  the service was just fine. But found the food to like flavor or any sort of creativity that would justify $100 steak. The sides were sloppy and thrown together looking. When it came to the desserts, they had crappy milkshakes that most of my group got. I ordered the crème brûlée and it was so badly done that when you broke the crust, The custard was separated. it was very oily looking. When I complain to the waiter, they obviously were quick to take it away and take it off my bill. They did not offer me anything else. His reply to me was sorry about that. We live within a reasonable distance of this place in would’ve loved it to be something special. We could’ve come over and over too and spent our money. There are multiple other places to eat around this restaurant. I recommend you go there and save your money. This place needs to learn creativity and consistency. It also needs somebody there with a little bit more experience It feels like.

    We traditionally went the Switchback for Thanksgiving dinner when they had a great buffet. No buffet now, just off the menu. I was looking forward to a nice ribeye, but the only option on the menu was an 18 oz (not bone in) for $85 and that didn't include sides, so I opted for the $65 12 oz prime rib. The outer fringe meat was tasty, but the center a little chewy. My wife economized with the $48 Macadamia encrusted Alaskan Halibut which was served with coconut risotto and grilled asparagus. The Halibut was overcooked and dry, but the asparagus risotto was tasty. I don't mind paying a price for a good, well-presented meal at a fine dining establishment, but the Switchback misses the mark. BTW the bread was a $12 menu item.

    Outstanding meal from start to finish. We have eaten at Seitchback a few times and it has never disappointed us. Excellent steaks, amazing wedge salad and the creamed spinach was decadent. Our waitress Amber took very good care of us. Lovely evening at a lovely restaurant!

    The wedge and scallops were great but the steak was not good. No flavor and tasted like a grill. Way overpriced for quality of food.
