   The Paella is amazing. Bursting with flavor. My wife had the trout and manchego mashed potatoes, which looked equally amazing. Don't skip dessert, try the cheesecake or cherry chocolate, both were really good and well presented in an artful way

   The service is not up to the level of a good restaurant should be. Food is ok, but not great. Not recommend and not going back

   Christmas dinner Rose originally builded a multicourse meal but when we arrived, we discovered that the hotel has shifted to finding a buffet. If we knew it was a buffet we would never have booked. The food was good, and selections were extensive, but 500 bucks is a bit much to pay for a buffet. The server was very attentive, but when you get a service charge, you expect people to provide service by bringing your meal, etc., and that didn’t happen. We are local and love, Talavera, but we will never return for Christmas dinner.

   Everything from the location of the resort and the restaurant within, to the ambience, to the service, to the food was outstanding! Would definitely recommend and we plan to visit again.

   A very disappointing experience. Food is below expectations considering hotel brand and price. Service was absent or bad. I will not go back and would never recommend.

   Exceptional in every way. Wonderful food (not your usual southwestern) and perfect ambiance. Outdoor table highly recommended, but you cannot go wrong here.

    Talavera is a special place for special occasions ! We were celebrating a first wedding anniversary and were seated overlooking the wonderful view of the setting sun. The menu was an interesting mix of Spanish and steakhouse and we chose two appetizers to share -steak tartare and pan con tomate. While we waited with our drinks we were brought an amazing amuse bouche and without requesting a lactose free one for me- such a thoughtful gesture. The amuse bouche and the appetizers all were mouthwatering and prepared us for the high level of cuisine to come. Afterwards three of us chose the paella and one the trout. The individual pan paellas came chock full of seafood with the requisite crispy rice at the bottom of the pan! The saffron broth over the trout was so flavorful and the fish well prepared , as were the innovative sides of grilled asparagus and patatas bravas. We felt like honored guests, as the service was attentive and respectful. As we were deciding whether to go on with dessert, they brought a charming special dessert treat of chocolate and cherry filled hearts for the happy couple. What a wonderful end to our special celebration. The gorgeous Spanish guitar music only added to the romance of the evening. We will be back for our next special occasion.
