Situated in Clerkenwell, Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings is a brand new playground to meet, eat, drink and be merry.

With varied eating and drinking spaces, welcoming service and all-day flexibility B&H Buildings is the perfect antidote to all your social, drinking and dining needs.

Influenced by those typically seen in a Grand Café, the beautiful marble mosaic bar top itself offers a generous and informal perch for guests wishing to sit closer to the action.

The bar stocks a range of beers and fine wines, as well as an exhaustive selection of spirits; the star of the show, of course, is Bourne & Hollingsworth’s trademark cocktails, with a list featuring both classics and new creations.

BELOW & HIDDEN - our new basement bar is now taking bookings. Open every Friday and Saturday night from 8pm - 2am, Below & Hidden is the smallest room you ever got lost in. Booking essential: info@bandhgroup.com

Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, delicious cocktails and interesting bar snacks. Stick to those and have dinner elsewhere as main courses were small and not that great for the price (£12-16).

One of the prettiest restaurants I've been to. Lovely airy setting and vibrant colours. Staff really friendly. A little disappointed with the curry I had, wasn't as flavoursome as hoped. But everything else was beautiful and I would definitely go back

We were a group of 5 and the waitress made our table available very quickly since people had taken the seats before we arrived.... very nice cocktails but a bit far from anywhere else - hidden away a few streets down from exmouth market

The bottomless bloody Mary's at the weekend are great, but the other cocktails aren't great and there is no good champagne by the glass. The food I've had has always been nice, but nothing astonishing.

Not really sure where this was when booked. Wanted restaurant near Sadlers Wells theatre and ones normally booked in Exmouth Market had no availability. Only opened in September. On entering through bar area was incredibly busy on a Saturday night, and couldn't believe just how noisy it was! Lot of people perhaps worse for wear at 9.30 p.m. and was a bit unsure, but found a member of staff and they took us to a table in the conservatory which was really nice, comfortable chairs and away from the crowded bit! Service very good but the food a bit iffy. Starters of soup and terrine were both good, but mains of belly pork and grilled chicken in curry sauce were worse than average. Wine also really unpleasant which was a real dissappointment. The place is really nice, but the food and wine would really make me think twice before trying again. Come on guys, you have a lovely restaurant - sort out the food and wine please!

I booked for 6 people for a client meeting and, although I'd booked the table via a restaurant booking tool, was sat in the bar area. We were on a low table with low chairs with people all stood around us. My client had to eat her food with her plate on her lap - not ideal. The food was ok, the small plates were v disappointing. Service was very slow and to me just always missed the mark. Have to chase for the bill, they give the bill and then disappear. Kept asking for the food as took so long, kept being told 2mins - it was another 20. It's a lovely looking place but at the moment the service doesn't match the restaurants obviously high expectations. I'll go back for drinks but not for food,

Always a bit dubious about going to a place not long after it has opened, as many places have teething problems. No worries with B&H Buildings though - i guess because they've been operating under other guises for some time and are well established. The interior has this sort of romantic 'of another era' feel, as though you're in the tropics of a more exotic land. The cocktails are small, strong and full of botanic taste sensations. The whiskey selection - though I'm not a connoisseur - is quite remarkable with the high-end ones being kept in a cabinet, in a room that looks like a library - bottles instead of books - which I found out you can book for private dining. The staff are friendly, genuine and knowledgable about the menu as well as the whiskey, which is so refreshing considering I think many London establishments still have a long way to go with customer service. And then there's the food. I highly recommend the parsnip chips, BBQ chicken wings and ham & cheese toastie as starters/sides, and the cheese platter as a desert, as hoorah, you actually get the right number of biscuits/crackers to match the amount of cheese!

We had booked a table for aperitifs and snacks early evening. The place was deserted when we arrived but was full by the time we left 2 hours later. The bar staff were very willing to offer cocktail options according to our taste that weren't on the menu though I do have to say, given that we were one of only a handful of people in there at the beginning of the evening, we didn't always get attentive service. Unfortunately I can't rate their bar food because despite our ordering a few dishes to share, they forgot to put the order through so we ended up going elsewhere. Would I go back again? Yes. It's early days, the cocktails well crafted and the food menu looked good - they just need to deliver it!

My partner and I have now been twice to this new establishment and I cannot rave about it enough. On our second visit we'd booked for the bar, but the restaurant had a cancellation so they managed to squeeze us in. We were warmly greeted and had a drink at the bar first. The bartender was very knowledgeable and recommended some delicious cocktails. My favourite was the Rum and Plum, my partner's the West Indies Gimlet. We were then sat in the Greenhouse which was stunning, very romantic. Our Waitress for the evening was fantastic and the food was really delicious. After we finished, friends came to meet us in the bar and we stayed right until the bar closed. All in all, wonderful setting, great staff and brilliant fun.

Great evening with friends, slightly spoilt by confusion over booking. On website the menu in 'bar' for which I booked us seats looked like a proper meal, when we arrived and were sat at the bar the available menu was just bar snacks. They were very helpful and found us a table in dining room which has a great atmosphere and decor. The lamb was tasty but tough and they had no sharp meat knives, waiter told us they were ordering some so we must not have been only ones to ask. Cocktail menu and service great fun and friendly and worth the visit. Rabbit terrine starter delicious, bread rolls come in a brown paper bag which is quirky. Worth a visit
