   Always a Nice dinner. Classic Steakhouse. Capital Grille Has a nice simple Steakhouse Menu and everything on it is well made and delicious. We had a wonderfiul time spent.

   We recently dined at The Capital Grille to celebrate my daughter Julia’s birthday, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our server, Tommie, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic evening. He was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The food was outstanding—every dish was cooked to perfection, from the sides to the steaks. The flavors were rich, and the presentation was elegant. To top it off, the restaurant made Julia’s birthday extra special with a delightful dessert, which was a wonderful surprise and much appreciated. A huge thank you to Tommie and the entire team for making this a truly memorable celebration. We will definitely be returning!

   We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at this steakhouse and overall, it was a great experience. The oysters were fresh and delicious, especially the Kumiai variety – a perfect start to the meal. The calamari was tasty but a bit on the undercooked side, the Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, a nice addition to our appetizers. For sides, the au gratin potatoes were rich and flavorful, but the spinach was a bit too salty for our taste. However, the highlight of the evening was definitely the porcini-rubbed bone-in ribeye with 15-year-aged balsamic. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor – highly recommend this dish! Overall, the food was great, with just a couple of minor hiccups. It’s definitely a place I’d return to, especially for that amazing ribeye!

   Not good service by server. I requested a drink finished my meal and never received it. I mentioned to the server to cancel the drink but still charged it. I’ve visited other Capital grills where the experience was excellent. The one in Costa Mesa needs someone from the other locations show them how things get done right!

   I have to share my terrible experience at The Capital Grille. We were 40-50 minutes late and no one even acknowledged our presence. After standing for ages, we were finally allowed in and were told to find our own table. How could that be? In a place like this? And on Valentine's Day! To make matters worse, a kind lady offered us her table but no one from the staff came to serve us. We waited for ages before a waiter finally came and rudely told us that the table was reserved and that we had to leave. This was disrespectful and totally unprofessional. I left feeling angry and deeply disappointed. This level of neglect and poor service is unacceptable. I will never go to The Capital Grille again and I strongly advise others to think twice before dining there.

   Overall the dining experience was great. Service was good, server was knowledgeable and made good recommendations that we enjoyed. His style was a bit straight forward and could be interepreted as abrasive, which is the only thing that brought the rating down.

    This place never disappoints. Today’s lunch was perfect in every way. The food was great as always, and the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Justin, could not have been nicer and more professional. I will make certain to request him in the future when dining at The Capital Grille.
