The Cellar at Duckworth’s combines gastropub fare from our chef-driven menu, with a tap list of specialty and rare beers served at appropriate temperatures to their styles, and signature cocktails that are hand crafted to order by our mixologists. Inspired by an era of time that’s long past, the underground space built originally in 1912, naturally has a speakeasy, prohibition-era feel with its original brick walls and exposed ceiling joists. Even our attentive staff dresses the part from the era. We hope to take you back in time for a bit while enjoying good food and drink with friends and family.

    Overall, we had an excellent experience. The service was very good. Food was delicious however extremely noisy hard to hold a conversation with the people in our party.

    Drinks were fantastic - we sampled multiple of the craft cocktails and they were all excellent. The food was great. My wife had the filet and I had the market grouper with scallops. The truffle Mac and cheese is the thing of legends. Awesome experience all around.

    Absolutely love this place, a must try for Charlotte. The tuna tartare is a must, along with a the ribeye, and truffle fries. You also MUST have the Nutella cheesecake!

    Our service was wonderful and the cocktails were perfect! We loved the chargrilled oysters. The Fillet mignon was very good but just not great. The truffle Mac and cheese was delicious! The atmosphere was perfect, felt like you were back in time in a true speakeasy.

    Food was great. Server made my group feel pushed out in the sense that we needed to vacate our table. One of our guests meals didn't come out until some of our group had already paid for their meals. Recommend improved training for servers responsible for tables consisting of more than 6 guests. Makes for a poor experience. Cost of food is expensive here. The service should match the level of cost that the patron is paying for the experience.

    While primarily a good steakhouse, their menu is unusually broad and interesting. I've had both the duck confit and the grouper, both of which were superb. My son had the bison tenderloin, which was exceptionally tender and flavorful I've never seen puttanesca sauce on fish but bet it's great. I look forward to more visits to try every item they offer.

    Our meal was outstanding as was our server, Jesse, was a lovely gal and extremely helpful with menu choices. We were visiting Charlotte for a wedding and will be sure to go back should we end up near Charlotte again. It's the best meal we've had at a restaurant in a while.

    Incredible ambiance from the get-go. Walking down the stairs you’re met with low lighting, flickering candles and 20’s music that really makes you feel like you’ve just stepped into a speakeasy. Not to be outdone by the ambiance and awesome service, the food and drink are great! The truffle mac might take the cake but the cellar burger and duck confit were amazing. Couldn’t recommend this place enough for a date night.
