Great experience! Quiet as it was a Monday evening, but our waiter moved us to a larger table (we were 4 and moved to a table for 6) and was great front of house: knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs, not rushing us and serving the Cremant cold! We have been regular fans of The Cock but The Crown and Punchbowl is setting a new standard.

There was immediate ,attentive service. Pleasant atmosphere/decor/very comfortable feeling. The food was interesting, well presented and cookedto perfection.

Had a great time at the Crown and punchbowl excellent food and service. Haven't been there for a year or so and it was really lovely to go back again. Look forwards to going again soon!

An excellent evening the food was superb and a very varied menu available. The portions were just right the waiting staff friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this venue for an impressive and worry free dine out!

My wife ordered the vegetarian option - fried squash with noodles. She was unable to eat most of it because the noodles and accompanying vegetables were overcooked. We mentioned this to the waitress and instead of not charging for the meal we were given coffee without charge. The bill still came to £80 which was one alcoholic drink, three mains (one not eaten) and two desserts. We considered this very expensive.

Fabulous lunch, having decided to revisit after dinner here a few weeks ago. Friend and I both chose set menu ... two courses for £16. Had salmon pancake followed by fish pie (I know, I know, fish and fish, but it's what we fancied!) Both were excellent. Delicious fish pie was topped with potato, carrot, swede and parsnip crumble ... yum!

Excellent meal and excellent service here. The fish was great and the pudding - a chocolate torte with salted caramel - was the best dessert I have ever had!
