   We had the 3 course market lunch which was superb, good value and in lovely surroundings. We have been here several times before and will undoubtedly go again. When the food at most British pubs seems to consist of burgers or reheated ready meals, it is a refreshing change to enjoy some proper cooking of fresh food at a reasonable price.

   As excellent as we would expect from the Duncolm Arms, especially as the market menu was available prompting us to travel 32 miles for lunch.

   We had a wonderful dinner and overnight stay at The Duncombe Arms. Everything about our visit was 1st class. Top quality food and drink at a reasonable price, served by excellent staff in beautiful surroundings. The room was amazing, beautifully designed and appointed. We will certainly return.

   Thoroughly enjoyed the starter and the main course was good. The service charge is a little off putting in the present climate.

   Peerless in the local area. Food superb, some amazing dishes which were all good. From chicken pie to steak, risotto, chicken parfait to tarts tatin all superb Local bar also part of the pub restaurant which was nice to see. Only negative was one of the bar proper uppers decided it was ok to vape at the bar - pretty disgusting and staff seemed accepting of this as most diners had left at that point . Well done Duncombe, superb meal and top of your game

   Lovely food and great atmosphere Good choice of wine too My only comment would be that when paying the bill you should verbally told that a 10% service charge is added. This is fine as the staff do a great job but it would be nice to now. You only know this from booking online and if you’re a party other members paying will not be aware.

   Another delicious meal at the Duncombe Arms. One of our favourite place to celebrate any occasion! The Tarte Tatin is absolutely amazing - remember to order at the beginning of your meal - it's enough for 4!

   Our favourite pub in the area - if we are working in the area we always stay here in one of their lovely rooms and look forward to the food. Excellent all round
