BEHIND EVERY GREAT SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IS A WAREHOUSE STOCKED WITH FRESH SEAFOOD.
The Fishery Restaurant & Market is located just a few blocks from the ocean in North Pacific Beach.
The restaurant menu reflects ‘coastal cuisine’ with a simple yet serious focus on the best our coastal fisheries and local farms have to offer. The passion that drives Chef Mike Reidy is evidenced by flavors that can only be achieved using ingredients at their peak of seasonality and freshness.
The Fishery was awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence for its Wine List from Wine Spectator in 2018- Present. Our wine list is inspired by the great wines of Europe and their American counterparts and we strive to showcase real, natural, food friendly-wines with a sense of place.

The Fishery Market showcases fresh fish, prepared seafood, salads, sauces and marinades.

The Fishery was a delightful find in the heart of Pacific Beach. It featured very fresh, perfectly prepared seafood dishes in a casual but upscale setting. Highly recommend!

We first came to Fishery back in August 2012 and had never stopped thinking about their Ahi poke appetizer and finally being able to return, I was extremely disappointed by how their new version is now. No more bed of seaweed, cilantro, avocado, cucumber, chili oil and instead just wasabi mayo and a bit of micro greens with nori. The 2 versions are not even close both visually nor taste.

Highly recommended. In particular Eddie A. shared his culinary and wine expertise with balanced enthusiasm, excellent service, all staff welcoming. Food memorable. If you are a fish lover this is the restaurant for you from the appetizers through the main course. Fantastic cocktails and an excellent wine list.

the food was amazing! I loved the swordfish. The waiter was softspoken and the environment was very loud. I wonder if there's a way you could add something to absorb some noise. it was difficult to hear the waiter and my dinner guest. otherwise, an amazingly delicious evening!

Finally a FRESH SEAFOOD DOWN TO EARTH CLASSY Restaurant that provides the ultimate in freshness in every ingredient tasted this night. My wife and I frequent seafood restaurants all over the Pacific including Maui and other neighboring islands. Only one that came close is Merrimans' not Mama's. The Fishery is the Real Deal and Thanks to the wonderful mind and hard work of the Owner and its' hard workers and especially the Chef who have nailed this hard to please type of cuisine and preparation.... Thanks for making our trip memorable to SD and we will be back. The Wards from SF Bay Area.... Chris and Lauren

Such a great restaurant! This was our second visit for lunch while visiting San Diego. Their fish soup is absolutely the best we've had. Their Tuna Smash Burger, Poke and Fish Sandwich were all incredible. There aren't many places that have this quality of food for the price. The service was first rate both times. Everyone seemed to have a real pride in the restaurant. Don't miss the Lemon Tart! We'll be back before we leave.

The Fishery's food did not disappoint - it was excellent. My wife had the macadamia crusted halibut and loved it. I had the halibut fish and chips, and it was delish. The Caesar salad was also excellent. The noise level is very high, so do not expect to have a romantic dinner. There were a lot of large groups that were very loud, which really diminished the experience for us.

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Our family of three enjoyed ourselves immensely. The appetizers, drinks and food were all outstanding. The ambiance was nice, not too noisy. We all look forward to returning for another enjoyable evening.

Enjoyable Sunday evening. Good food, however a bit slow which was surprising given it wasn’t too jammed. Regardless, had a great time.
