The Greene Oak is a contemporary 1 AA Rosette pub and restaurant in the heart of Oakley Green near Windsor in Berkshire. Taking hospitality back to it's roots with a warm welcome from our genuinely friendly team, gastronomic experiences showcasing outstanding suppliers and produce but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.
The Greene Oak prides itself on offering a diverse selection of wines, beers, cask ales and ciders. Our carefully selected wine list offers an accessible range of bottles to suit all tastes and dishes and don't worry if you are driving, we have an extensive lo and no alcohol list too.
There is a large garden and terrace which is covered and has heaters, with two horse boxes for the perfect unique dining experience. There is ample parking and dogs are very welcome in the bar.

Fish and chips were really good. Pork cheek tasty but served cold. The mussels were pretty awful. They were served lukewarm. A quarter of them hadn’t opened and were therefore inedible the rest, mushy and stringy. The bread basket crackers were stale. All in all not a great experience although the service and staff were vey good. I’d expect better from a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

A lovely local pub with excellent food for us all. 8 and 6 year olds loved the Skate wing and mussels and the trout wellington was excellent. Our 8 year old commented ‘the staff are super friendly and always replace my mussel shell bowl - I like it here.’ A seal of approval by the boss!! Thanks.

All of the team working on the morning of 15th February 2025 were delightful, polite and attentive. We could not have asked for better service. Food was delicious and delivered promptly. Atmosphere lovely (except one child having a meltdown which was managed admirably by the parents). Thanks to everyone who served us and cooked for us.

Overall the 3 course food we had was very tasty and plentiful. We felt the wine list was a little expensive compared to other restaurants of the same comparison. We had a table for 2 and the seats were a bit worn so seating comfort was why we've given the score. Other tables had a variety of chairs of different sorts which suits the character.
