Harryman House Restaurant is proud to serve their brand of American style cuisine. Housed in a restored eighteenth century log cabin, Harryman House offers their guests a "casual" dining experience served with formal excellence.

At The Grill at Harryman House, our menu is developed around seasonal ingredients and as many local ones that we can find. Dishes originate from a fusion of American and International influences, presented in a simple and accessible style. We call this “New Urban Cuisine,” reflecting the modern sensibilities of supporting sustainable farming, enjoying sophisticated and excellent food, and gathering in a beautiful but casual atmosphere.

I have to disclose this dinner was during the holiday season, but it was an early reservation, noting that we were celebrating an anniversary. We were seating directly across from another couple in an otherwise empty room, truly no privacy at all. When we ordered our drinks and dinner we asked the waiter to make certain that the meal was paced so that we could enjoy each course. After waiting a while for the drinks the soup came moments after our drinks were put on the table. We sent back the soup asking again that they wait until we were done with our drinks. Then once the soup arrive the meal came moments (less than 5 minutes) later- again we had to send our meal back to finish our soup. This then placed our meals (one being a Shrimp/Crab Newburg in puff pastry casing) under a heat lamp for quite a while. The Newburg dinner was no longer puffed in presentation nor tasty. The waiter tried his best to pace the servers from delivering the dishes too early but never got it under control. I don't think I recommend this restaurant at holiday time, I've had better dining experiences there at other times of the year.

We have been coming for decades. We have moved away and like to come down on occasion. They couldn’t find my reservation, fine we were sat right away. The service was fine, nothing compared to the standard they had set previously. Food was where we were let down. The portion/presentation was severely lacking. A steak (not cooked to the temp ordered) for $40 only comes with a cafeteria scoop of dry mashed potatoes OR a substitute of 5 asparagus. Wasn’t offered the special ether. Never again.

Everything was great. My steak wasn’t cooked exactly how I wanted it. But it was good. I ate most of it. But all in all. Everything was good.

Next time someone comes into your establishment- don’t look them up and down and tell them there’s no table available for 2 hrs when clearly there’s over 5 tables empty. Yes, maybe you had a group coming in a - but we immediately went on open table and found several tables available for the exact time we were there asking and tables available for several 15 time slots before the 2hrs” that you were suggesting. So we gave you crappy scores because you didn’t seat us. We may have looked like we weren’t “dressed” for a Saturday evening meal but don’t judge with a distinct facial grimace. We had money to spend!!!!!!!

We came during the late hour of 9:30pm so o understand there was a limited menu. We were seated in the area by the bar (very loud) but the rest of the seating on the other areas was cordoned off so no one could sit there. I asked for a burger well done but there was charcoal blackness on the patty and the fries seemed undercooked. Just not super impressed as I had been in the past.
