   Always the best. Jean Francois runs the best team. Always familiar faces and a lovely welcome, Food and drinks fabulous. Another enjoyable afternoon in this lovely restaurant.

   My go to for early Supper. Jean Francois is an amazing manager/front of house. Staff attentive, friendly and service levels above the competition.

   Host was very helpful in changing our table and grateful for that. Food was good Service was only fain because several requests had to be repeated before getting what we’d asked for The Ivy never disappoints and this was a lovely night out. It was overall good a bit of attention to detail would take it to excellent.

   My experience was truly AMAZING! The host called me by name as he waiting until I arrived. The duck salad was soooo good! I had a burger and chips! It was tasty and they gave me a cream puff for my birthday. The young lady that served me was so pleasant and professional.

    We were warmly greeted upon arrival and shown to our table immediately even though we were early. This was a very good start. The restaurant was busy and buzzing. We had a gift voucher for dinner and this was swiftly checked and the balance confirmed. Our waiter was polite and helpful with menu choices. We ordered some olives, bread and a couple of glasses of champagne to start and we ordered our main courses. The bread and champagne came quickly and we were just making a start on this when our main courses arrived. The waiter apologised and took away one of our side plates to make room. The bread was now really surplus to requirements. Once the main course had been served, the olives then appeared but we sent them away as it was too late for nibbles. They still appeared on the bill. My husband then heard the waiter being reprimanded for messing up our order and not ordering the bread and olives as the starter. Unfortunately this error rather spoiled our experience of the evening as we felt that our time had been compressed. My husband had planned to have a glass of wine with his main course but as we still had full glasses of champagne on the table he didn’t bother. Such a shame as we were using a generous gift voucher from my husband’s company which we felt was rather wasted. The food was ok although probably no better than Côte. I guess people eat here for the sense of theatre and occasion which are delivered in spades. With so much choice in Marylebone we would struggle to justify a return.
