We wanted to enjoy this so much but it was hard to overlook the quality and quantity of the food and tea provided. Nothing was memorable and in fact most of the items were quite dry. Left you wanting something for flavor and to help with the overall theme of dryness. The overall decor and view were beautiful but for 90 dollars (plus service fee) you can definitely get more bang for your buck.

Very special. The food was excellent, and the tea was wonderful. A very decadent experience. I highly recommend. Ask to sit close to the window.

An incredible culinary experience, if you can afford it. $250 for brunch for 2 people. But well worth the splurge. From the quality of the cuisine to the ambiance to the exquisite service, an all around superb once-in-a-lifetime type of experience.

Service was stranged. We were served with scones first and then we asked for our sandwiches, the server said they like to serve warm scones first. But we were used to having tea samdwiches first, then sweet items later. Moreover the person doing the harp playing was also not too happy in persona. Not sure what’s wrong

Sad to report that even though our server Pamela was lovely and professional, the management at the Lobby Lounge was terrible. Shortly after being seated, we noticed that our table was extremely wobbly, possibly broken, as it seemed like the top was not properly attached to the legs. We asked the staff to simply switch out the table, which they refused to do. The girl in charge said she couldn’t do that without speaking with her manager. Then she told us to move us to the other side of the room and to bring our own drinks and utensils. What?!?! This is afternoon tea at an upscale hotel, not Chili’s. We decided to stay at the wobbly table, but we couldn’t even lay a hand on it without everything spilling. The manager never came to address the issue. Our server apologized profusely, but it was obviously not her fault. Her management left her high and dry. A total disappointment with how they handled this. We won’t be back.

Came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and had an incredible time. The venue was stunning, the live pianist was exceptional, and the tea service was perfect. The servers were also nice and attentive. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

The sandwiches, despite an attempt to be creative, did not taste good - and only two were substantially more than bite-sized. The breads used were dry. The scones were nice but nothing extraordinary. I took the desserts home and haven’t tried them yet. It’s a shame the tea is so badly done because it could very easily be so much better. The price given the value is laughable. The harpist was a nice touch and the servers were friendly. A gratuity is included, so the price is actually about $30 higher than the price on the menu when tax is included.

The service was genuine, Elizabeth and staff provided a spoke experience. Our guests felt the extra care and special attention given to celebrate a special day. The presentation of the tea and food was exquisite! The tea sandwiches and desserts were beyond expectation and a true delight! Thanks to the Lobby Lounge Team and Kitchen for such a superb and unparalleled experience! We will cherish our time at The Langham Afternoon Tea.

The cost of the Afternoon Tea experience was ridiculous, and not well stated in the reservation process, so our Tea ended in a real low.

We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, and that was only after I told the receptionist that we had a time limit. After reading other reviews, before going to the High Tea, I knew I would have to be on top of the service. Like others, we got our scones and ate half of them before the wait staff returned with the clotted cream and lemon curd as promised. I had to flagged down the waitress to remind her, she was very apologetic and returned with it a few minutes later. One pot of tea was left on our table and the other on the side board next to our table so we were able to serve ourselves and not wait for someone to check to see if we needed more. The food was plentiful, we took quite a bit of leftovers home. My daughter got the vegan high tea option, which they up charge by $10. It was good, except for the desserts, only the pumpkin pie was tasty. I was grateful they had two dairy free options for milk, almond and oak milk. However, our waitress did not offer these options until I asked if they had any. I do not like the fact they automatically charge a 20% gratuity! How are we to let them know we are not satisfied with the service. For the price we paid they should not be running so behind and forgetful. I do not blame our waitress, she was a lovely lady and was doing the best she could. They are terribly understaffed, I noticed other tables where they had to go fetch their pots of tea from the side board and also flag down their waitstaff for forgotten items. The value was not there for the price we paid, we will not be returning. There are many high teas offered in and around Pasadena, with beautiful settings and even a harpist, that we will try instead of The Lobby Lounge.
