   We have been coming to the Market Place for years but our meal last night did fall short of the mark. I ordered a beet salad which was mostly lettuce (the server did bring me more beets after I pointed that out) and the lettuce looked on the verge of spoiling (wilted and a bit off color). My companion had a burger and fries, and some of the potatoes also had an off taste. My duck confit was tasty but underwhelming, and the brussels that came with it weren't anything special - I didn't care for the taste. This is very far from my past experience with this restaurant, which has always featured the best and freshest ingredients and perfect balance of flavors. Hopefully this was just an off night.

   The food is always a surprise but always tasty. The braised lamb shank was terrific.

   Great place to have cocktails and small plates at the bar. Attentive servers and bartenders, locally sourced ingredients, and a great atmosphere!

   My daughter and I come to Asheville a couple of times each year. Each time we try a different restaurant. The Marketplace is absolutely TOPS!!! Everyone there is warm and welcoming. The service staff (Dakota) is engaging and knowledgeable. The food, obviously the most important, is DELICIOUS!!! Next trip to Asheville just might be a deviation from choosing a different restaurant...it was seriously that good! Thanks to everyone there for a wonderful dining experience!

   Great staff, I was not impressed by the food, 2 dishes were so salty that i returned them. Wait staff was amazing, food left a lot to be desired.

   This charming farm to table restaurant has incredible food, informed & engaged servers and a tremendous environment. We enjoyed our evening in a calm space.

    First time dining in Asheville and The Market Place was a great choice. Excellent and friendly service and great food. It was a very enjoyable evening.
