All these years later and it's still popular. Front of house always pleasant and helpful, wait-staff and servers are top-notch, and the food is always prepared well.

Four of us dined at 7:15 on a Wednesday night. The room was packed and chaotic. We were seated in a booth with another party (awkward) right next to the stairwell where a) all of the waitstaff and food had to go constantly and b) everyone went to the bathroom. Our table was cramped and busy. Our server could barely serve us given the limited room. The couple across the walkway, whom we could reach our and touch, was incredibly loud and seemed to know everyone going by, which of course exacerbated the issue with people squeezing by right next to our table. It frankly was kind of a mess. The calamari was significantly overfried, the pieces were somewhat dry, small and almost burnt. The little gem salad was delicious. The half chicken and flank steak were just average. We paid extra for au poivre sauce which I thought was inedible. It had an acrid taste and it made me wonder if a big batch had been made a long time ago and was just being doled out and not tasted by the kitchen. We had a mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich for dessert and that was terrific.

Been going for 38 years and same but different. Thing that is constant are the people who work there. Always welcoming which makes everything else flow when meeting friends.

Arrived early for our reservation & got seated promptly. Great service, fantastic food- we enjoyed the salmon w/lentils & steak tartare w/crisp baguettes…& of course frites (huge portion). It was bustling here & a nice mix of patrons

As possibly among the eldest customers at brunch today, it was heartening to see the place full to overflowing with young people. Noisy AF, but it always was. I was a fairly regular customer back in the ‘80s, so I have lots of memories of heyday antics. Keith behind the bar. My friends and I were very naughty back then. It was damn fun.❤️❤️❤️🥂‼️
