About this restaurant

  • Lively
  • Hot spot
  • Neighbourhood gem
A place where whimsy and gastronomical delights go hand in hand, The Office is a modern American Gastropub... A place that is comfortable where the food is as important as the drink, not quite a bar and not quite a restaurant, The Office is offering a casual-meets-refined atmosphere that welcomes beer drinkers and wine snobs, non-fussy eaters and foodies alike. The Office is a charmed neighborhood watering hole.

Made the error of going on a Saturday night when there were other events in downtown Delray. Food and service were OK but noise was deafening. Conversation almost impossible. Will pick quieter place next outing . If you like a high energy vibe, might be a decent choice.

We decided to stop off in Delray for something fun on our way down to Miami for a few day getaway from Central Florida. Well, we really should have waited to have lunch at our hotel in Miami. This place was severely understaffed on a Monday (granted it was Presidents day but this is SEASON in south Florida…on Atlantic Ave… so truly you should know better as a restaurant owner/manager…who was NOT there in this chaos btw that I could see). The staff were literal medium age of 19, which is fine except the wait staff could not keep up at all. Like we waited 15 minutes at our table, no waitress, no water. I had to call one of the girls over and she made a deal about how she was going to take our table even though it was someone else’s (mmmkay…I mean thank you, but that info is not really my business, this is the nature of post-pandemic service, I suppose??). She was sweet enough, but it was just not great, like none of it. The Diet coke was totally flat (gag). And she actually told us we were the second person who told her LOL THEN DONT SERVE IT hun!! The food was basic American sandwiches and French fries, definitely good (but nothing out of the ordinary)…and I don’t even balk at $50 for just regular sandwiches (I grew up in south FL and totally expect it), except that the experience sucked. And so did the traffic and the parking cost $30; so basically I would literally never come back here unless they sent me a $100 gift card and begged me lol. I’m being dramatic but I mean it.
