   We came to pluckeminn for my birthday, it’s a beautiful special occasion space. Our waiter tried to rush our dinner order explaining we needed to order appetizers with entrees. We were cheering and he interrupted us. The food runners beat him to taking our drink orders and we didn’t get our water refilled. My birthday dessert did not come with a candle. The food was delicious and the space was lovely, it was a shame that our service was so poor. Everyone has off days but this is a once a year occasion that should be exceptionally special, especially for the price you pay to eat here.

   Bad experience. We have been here many times and will not return. We felt we were overcharged on our Martinis and spoke to the manager about it, and he gave us an excuse that they charge an extra $8.00 on top of the drink cost if you have it straight up no ice. Who drinks Martinis on the rocks? I also asked for extra olives for my birthday, and they charged $2.00 for them. Just charge $25 per drink and not add these ridiculous surcharges it looks, and it is bad business. Our server was nice the bread was cold, poke tuna was not as good as last time, and the burger was a tad overcooked. It's a shame we liked the place. I will not return or recommend it.    First time but definitely not my last. My wife and I had planned to go on Valentines (Saturday) but there was a snowstorm so we cancelled. Last night, we were able to get a 6pm seating. From the moment we entered the parking lot, we were impressed. When we entered, we were greeted by what seemed to be a good portion of the staff. They were very welcoming. The room had a nice ambiance. The service and food were outstanding. The wine sommelier was available to assist with their large collection of wines. We are definitely coming back. I think we will do the wine pairing next time.

   This was our first visit to The Pluckemin Inn and we will definitely be back. The ambiance is beautiful. We had a table for 4 next to one of the many fireplaces. The service is outstanding, no one rushes you, not pushy, but somehow your water glass is always refilled & they anticipate your needs without hovering. The food is fantastic too! It is a wonderful restaurant. Go.

   I ordered the potatoe soup as an appetizer and I didn’t like the kale and something else that came with the dish. When the appetizer was served I tasted it and it tasted sour so I sent it back. When we received the bill I was charged for it. When I mentioned it to the server she gave us an attitude. I didn’t expect that from this place. We dine here regularly. We won’t be returning for dinner anytime soon

    The Pluckemin Inn is one of the few places where every aspect of your experience will be exceptional. After several years I think I have figured out how to order here: enjoy a cocktail while perusing the menu, talk to your server about what's on offer, figure out what you'd like to have, then speak to the Sommelier about your wine selection. If you aren't taking advantage of access to one of the best wine collections you will ever encounter you are not fully experiencing the Pluckemin Inn. The seafood is wonderful, especially the oysters, as are the pastas and main course offerings. I find it difficult to not order the veal chop. It is always the finest piece of veal I have ever eaten.
