For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.
Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. This consistent, high level of quality and overall guest experience over 4 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, business people, families, and loyal diners alike.                                                                                                         While having dinner at the precinct I was treated with the most outstanding service from my servers Lizzie & Anthony. Making sure I had everything I needed and never without water. I brought in a friend from out of town and each waiter had helped explain and recommend items from the menu. I ordered the Burrow which I have had before and once again was cooked to perfection. This is THE spot to go to for an outstanding steak dinner with unbeatable service.

                                                                                                        Bridgette, our waitress, was not only knowledgeable of the entire menu, but energetic and polite throughout the entire dinner. She was phenomenal. My wife and I have been coming to the Precinct on our wedding anniversary for 6 years now, and we’ve never been disappointed.

                                                                                                        5-Star Review for Jeff Ruby’s The Precinct Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Jeff Ruby’s The Precinct, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel like a valued guest. The ambiance was absolutely lovely—elegant yet inviting, perfect for a great evening. The steak was perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a treat! The Freddie Salad was beautifully prepared and the ideal start to the meal. The food arrived hot and full of flavor, showcasing the attention to detail in every dish. On top of that, the service that my server David provided was impeccable. David went above and beyond to ensure my table was well taken care of, making the evening even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an outstanding dining experience with great food, welcoming staff, and a fantastic atmosphere, Jeff Ruby’s The Precinct is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back!
