The food was amazing. But even the server said it was about 9 degrees in there. It was literally freezing. Dress warm and enjoy the food!

I have come numerous times to The Press Gang and I noticed that the quality has been going down hill steadily. Last night it was probably the worst. We ordered the rib eye medium rare and the first time the steak came almost raw and the second time it was well done. The presentation and flavours were also completely off. I think food from the Keg would have tasted way better than this. The cocktails that we had were also not very impressive. The service was immaculate (like usual) but the kitchen is obviously lacking behind. I hope they make some drastic changes. This place used to be very consistent and one of the best (if not the best) places in town to go for dinner, but I am worried that those days are over.

This was the best restaurant meal I've had in years. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The only small issue was that the space was kind of drafty and on a cold winter night, you could really feel the chill. We were kindly seated near a radiator so that took the edge of the cold. Thanks for a great meal!

Took part in our first ‘DINE AROUND’ experience. Mussel appetizer was on the salty side. Mahi Mahi cooked nicely but texture seemed off. Service was impeccable! Dessert was delicious. Sitting close to the front door offered lovely exterior views but got extremely cold as the restaurant welcomed more dinners.

We were seated by the door so we cold all through our experience. Oysters were great, hard to mess those up, but drinks were 2.5x more expensive than any other “nice restaurants” in Halifax. I will not be back for a long time if at all.

We ordered the off the dine around Halifax menu. Started with the lamb and rice balls and then the Mahi Mahi and Apple crisp and Strawberry shortcake for dessert. Over all it was great value for this restaurant. The Executive Chef served us as well and we had a very pleasant chat with him Recommend The Press Gang for any occasions or if you want high quality menu items.

Celebrated our anniversary and were given complimentary glasses of sparkling wine. Tried the dine around meal and it was so good!
