   Open table booking didn’t work but we were lucky and they seated us anyway. The place is nice, clean and a cracking view of the railway bridge and the forth. However, it is a bit pricey due to location ait is a wee bit of a tourist trap. The kids food was nice but would have been good to have a kids meal deal like a lot of other places. As it’s was about £7.50 for a main plus a drink we didn’t buy a pudding. The portions for kids food was good (too large for a smaller kid though). Son really enjoyed his chicken nuggets. They were large and nice quality. Sausage and beans enjoyed by my daughter. We had rail bridge burgers which were really nice but were about £18/19 ish so pretty expensive for a burger. We had to ask for napkins as no one noticed none in the bucket and had to ask for the bill too so service could have been better. Kids were given a lovely wee fidget spinner and crayons with a colouring in sheet. It was okay but wouldn’t be in a rush to go back.

   I love the Railway Bristo. Often meet friends there for lunch and enjoy the food. The view is spectacular and staff are friendly.

   The food was nice as was the wine. I like the idea of a smaller portion of the fish and chips which were lovely.

   A perfect place to enjoy delicious food, friendly service in an atmosphere that is all rail bridge all the time. The decor reflects the actual structure of the bridge in design and detail. Period newsreels about the construction and the dedication of bridge are playing on the wall on either side of the fireplace. And of course outside the glass facade is the bridge itself, in all its splendor. Both the indoor and outdoor seating offers a spectacular sight and you can even hear the rumble of the passing trains. As a longtime admirer of the Firth Rail Bridge, I am giddy about finding and visiting this awesome bistro.

   Don’t really understand the positive reviews. We visited for coffee and cake. Sat for over 20 mins with no one coming to take order, service was really poor. Had to ask to order. Coffee was average, carrot cake was stale.

   Slow service and especially for our young children, whose meals did not come with our starters as requested but, in fact, came last of all of the main meals.

    I had the Sunday roast which was lovely however I would have liked some gravy with my roast beef. A separate pot of gravy would allow customers to add their own gravy.
