   We were waiting 1.5 hours for our main course to be served after one appatizer and salads. After the table next to us turned twice, we asked our waitress again about the status of our dinners. we were told that we were the #3 ticket and that the people next to us ordered something else. The restaurant was buzy but other's that sat well after us, were served. Even the 'manager' was making excuse after excuse and didn't want to here about it. Tim, the new chef, came out after learning of our dismay, and ordered us cocktails. He then served our meals and comped our full meals and drinks! Over and above that, he also sent a nice note and a bottle of wine to our guuest's room. CLASS ACT!! Saved the night (and kept us from walking out, never to return). We would strongly recommend Alderbrook based solely on Tim's proper handleing of a very bad situation and would bet that he will influence others on how best to deal with customer situations - which will happen! Hats off to Chef Tim.

   So delicious. On the spendy side but you are at Alderbrook after all. A worthwhile splurge for a relaxing and pampering weekend away.

   Service was incredibly slow. We were there on a Friday night, so I do understand that would be a busier time. They were clearly not staffed well enough for the number of filled tables. Or maybe our server was just extremely slow and not very attentive. Either way, for the price, ambiance, and location, it was a bit disappointing. The grand marnier prawns and Brussel sprouts didn't disappoint.

   We had a lovely evening with a beautiful view of Hood Canal and the mountains. The service was nice, but slow. We were not in a rush, so it did not matter. The food was good but not outstanding.

   Everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, Melissa ( hostess, expediter, hugger extraordinaire.. actual manager )greeted us, sat us in one of her personal favorite spots, we ordered a couple of drinks, watched a seal swimming by,saw an eagle dive bombing fish all with in the first 10 minutes.. food, drinks and service were top notch

   We came to Alderbrook Resort for our anniversary and dined in the restaurant. Beautiful views, decor, and ambiance. Highly recommend for stay and dining. Food was terrific.
