   Absolutely a beautiful restaurant with some nice ambiance. My wife and I both loved the entrees we ordered. The only thing that seem to be lacking was service. They became somewhat busy as we expected on New Year’s Eve. We had to track down our server to get our check. Overall the good outweighs the bad. We would most likely go back.

   It is rare for me to be giving a full-on negative review.    When we ate here last year, we thought we'd found a gem! Delicious food, reasonable prices, and pretty good service (we gave the young waitress a few tips on how to serve wine). We were looking forward to our return to Tierra del Sol.  The noise level was unbearable, you had to lean in hard to hear the person next to you.   And then 30 minutes after being seated they put 6 kids on the table beside us and their parents further away.... Crazy, especially when there was seating and open tables in another part of the restaurant, enough for the kids and their parents. We had one menu between the 6 of us, rather bizarre.  How do they provide service when the place is full?  The waitress required guidance on how to use a corkscrew for the wine and eventually one of my guests did 90% of the effort (which I think he enjoyed doing).   The prices, wow, unbelievable, an increase of about 30% or more, with little change in the serving sizes or quality (which is quite good). For the above reasons, we won't be returning.

   The food was very good, we went on New Year’s Eve the service was ok I think they may have needed more help but the staff did the best they could. Lam was working hard to make sure everyone was happy.

   The restaurant was only offering the 12 course Christmas special. We were caught off guard but the meal did not disappoint. We felt like the kitchen wasn’t prepared since there were sporadic gaps btw courses but our guardian Alice made sure we were taken care of. I strongly recommend that you request her service when u make a reservation. The view is stunning but the wrong time in the wrong spot can ruin ur experience outside with the brutal sun. So stay away from pool side btw 14:00-17:00 Dec thru Jan.

   We enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner. The food was tasty. We loved the beef tataki especially. The chicken pasta wasn’t the best but everything else was good. Lovely ambiance on the balcony area.

   Disappointed. We decided to have a Christmas brunch on our last day in Aruba at the restaurant, after enjoying a dinner there the night before. The property is stunning, and the view is magnificent. However, our return experience was a complete disaster. First, we were told that only a 12-course brunch was available. One member of our party, who is vegetarian, asked if it would be possible to simply have a salad. She was refused and had to sit hungry throughout the meal. To make matters worse, there was an hour-long wait between each tapas course. I understand that there’s a more relaxed pace in the Caribbean, but was the meal supposed to last until sunset? I complained to the manager, who was able to speed things up slightly. We never got the full desert selection , could not stand waiting another hour for the rest of it. The management needs to train their staff better and figure out how to serve clients efficiently, especially if they are aiming to provide an upscale experience. I had hoped this would become my new favorite dining spot, but I won’t be returning.

   Lovely ambiance at Tierra del Sol, but disappointing service. Wrong orders were delivered, and the food was overcooked, overshadowing an otherwise pleasant dining experience. Needs improvement.
