The Sovereign is a Belgian bar & bistro committed to celebrating the rustic cuisine & fabled brewing culture of Belgium. Located in the vibrant Georgetown neighborhood, the Sovereign's kitchen is led by Executive Chef Andres Zuluaga whose classic, ingredient-driven Belgian dishes draw on French, German & Dutch cooking techniques & traditions.     Food and service were excellent. The muscles were so fresh. Many choices on how to have them we chose the saffron and it was delicious. The short ribs were melt in your mouth tender. Waiter was attentive without being pushy.

    Loved the rabbit, would definitely recommend. Our only issue was how loud the restaurant was. We could not carry on a conversation and frequently had to ask the waitress to repeat what she said.

    The food was wonderful. The service was exceptional. Great selection of both food and drink. And as someone who just got back from Europe, the Belgian theme and flavor was all spot on.

    Our incredible server made our evening special. He recommended an excellent beer and helped us order, customizing around allergies and food we love. In the end, we had a delicious meal in a cozy booth (the hostess kindly escorted us to a quiet spot). We'll be back!

    The food was good, the service was good, the noise level is terrible. This is not "must speak in a raised voice" loud; this is "talking is a struggle" loud.

    The food was excellent! It was abundant and arrived looking authentic bistro. If you are into “bistro dining” this is the place.. Service was prompt and efficient!

    Service was perfect, overall great value. The food was true to its Belgian inspiration, and drinks were on point. I especially enjoyed my waffle dessert that takes me right back to Brussels. Thank you for the lovely birthday dinner!
