Another great experience at the Spinnaker. Seated quickly, perfect corner window table for 4. Service by Rico was 5 stars all the way. Our lunch selections were top flight and we were NEVER rushed. All signs of a place intent on pleasing their customers. And that they did.

Review of The Spinnaker Restaurant The Spinnaker Restaurant is one of our favorites in the North Bay. On February 16, 2025, I took my wife there for her birthday. As soon as the waiter came to our table, I ordered champagne for both of us. It took around 15 minutes for our drinks to be served. When our drinks finally arrived, the waiter was ready to take our order. I ordered the salmon, and my wife ordered a pasta dish. The salmon was great, but the spinach was rather tasteless — but hey, it’s spinach. We ordered dessert, and my wife chose cheesecake with extra sauce. It took three tries for the waiter to actually get the extra sauce part right. Now, here’s the main reason The Spinnaker only received a “good” rating from me: I ordered the strawberry shortcake. I’ve had many strawberry shortcakes in the past, but never have I had one where the shortcake was actually carrot cake. There was some whipped cream in the middle with a few strawberries, but it was definitely carrot cake, not shortcake. The service was very slow, my salmon was great but the sides were bland, and dessert was underwhelming at best. The ambiance is by far the only reason to go to The Spinnaker. We will gio back but I hope they step up there game.

Wonderful experience. Everyone was freindly attentive and service was timely and we were allowed to chill and enjoy the atmosphere and view of the bay and the city. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing views. Had reservations for two at 6:45 pm and were seated at 7:15pm. Host was overwhelmed and people were stacked and lined up everywhere. Food was rather normal. Nothing bad nothing that memorable. Great place for views and a quiet dinner. Server was excellent and very fast. Just need a little more order and communication at host station and a bit more attention to the food.

The Spinnaker is one of my favorite restaurants in Marine. I have been there many many times over the years. The host is always nice and present, the food is decent, the service is good and not to mention the spectacular view of the bay. I always booked my table in advance with the Open Table app to secure a table. I went there on February 16th. There was a line of people checking in and when I walked up to the host. An old lady with a portable breathing machine was sitting there. She kind of ignored us at first and then turned and said the tall gentlemen will return to take care of us. I told her my booking information when he returned, and she started looking at her computer and trying to find my reservation. After a quick search she told me she could not find my name. I pull up my Open Table app and show her my booking confirmation and she dismissed it and said “We’re not Open Table; this is not a confirmation, and she need to see the email confirmation. I quickly pulled up my email and showed it to her and she insisted she didn’t have my reservations. Again, she is annoyed and blames it on Open Table. After a little bit of back and forward when finally, she told the tall gentlemen to look at her computer for her because she cannot see!! How rude and arrogant! If you do not like your job, please go home. If you know you cannot do your job properly, please ask someone to assist you. I’m hoping she is not the owner of the restaurant because she acts like one. If so, I’m sorry, she seems miserable!

We made a reservation for Valentine's Day about a month in advance. We went with a large party of 8, but figured it would not be an issue since we had made a reservation. Our reservation was at 7:45pm, checked in on time and we sat at our table close to 8:30pm. The host was not apologetic about the long wait, but rather seemed annoyed that we had a large group and had asked twice if our table was ready and we just didn't hear our names being called. It took about 15 minutes after we sat to meet our waiter and every step of the way was a wait after wait after wait. We had the Valentine's pre-fix menu which was a deal and the food was delicious, but it was hard to ignore the simple lack of service at this restaurant. This was our first time dining at this restaurant and we had chosen one of the busier days to eat, but a restaurant of this stature that has been around should not be struggling to seat their guests in a timely manner. We received no apology for the long wait and no sort of compensation. We had a reservation and we still waited close to 45 minutes to get seated after our reservation time. Overall, the experience and the pre-fix menu was good; however, the lack of attention and service was enough to thoroughly negatively impact our dining experience.

Went there for Valentines Day and it was great. It was quite busy and the food did come out like it had been sitting for a while, even the dessert came melted (sundae) but it’s understandable when they’re so busy. Ambiance as always was romantic and relaxing.
