It was our first time there and after reading the reviews, we were quite excited to go there for our “ date night”. First the location was odd based on the address. The restaurant was really on the side of the building, do not attempt to take the elevator. Second, the host seemed frustrated for some reasons even thought they didn’t look busy at all at 8pm. Then after looking at their nice extended wine list, we asked to have a bottle of the Zac Brown Red Blend as we were familiar with it, the waiter told us they were out, so my boyfriend selected another one which they were out too. The waiter proceeded to tell us that they were in the process of redesigning their menu, so they were low on their inventory. Now out of frustration, I asked him to tell us what they had, so we could select from their inventory and not from their so called menu. He did eventually made it right by getting us a nice Cabernet at a reasonable price to make up for their smaller selection of wine. The muscles were really good, but the $36 lobster risotto was very dry and disappointing. There was no ambience and the restaurant was very quite. We probably wouldn’t go back.

We have eaten at the Tomato House before and always had a good experience. However last night although the service was very good the food was below par. Particularly the short ribs I ordered were dry, tough and full of gristle. Definitely not what I expected. What used to be our “go to” with visitors from out of town has now been taken off our list. Too unreliable.

Food was great and the atmosphere was chic! I would go back but just request a different server because ours was lack luster, not attentive to the table, wrong food brought to the table, on her phone in the bathroom instead of cashing out our check, etc. The bartender was very young, typically not a concern but when asked to confirm bourbon option, he provided scotch.

Very poor experience! Will not return anytime soon. Wanted a bottle of wine. After ordering 6 different wines, that were all out of stock, waiter finally told us what was available. Is it that hard to update the wine list?! All 4 of us ordered Caesar salads. All four of the salads had visibly brown and wilted lettuce. Three of us ordered lasagna. When it was delivered, the lasagna was cold. Had to return the 3 meals as they were not eatable. Asked waiter to split check between the 2 couples. Waiter delivered one check. Really?!!!!! Perfect ending to a very poor dining experience.

If you have a group of 8-10 people, ask for the private room, called the Barn Yard. You will feel so special!

They were closed but door was open. No one was there except a nice lady cleaning the kitchen.

Food was good, but one guest had their meal come late and their vegetable side came when the meal was done. The server dropped it off quickly and we were never given a chance to say we didn’t want it anymore. It really should have been removed from the bill. Prices were slightly high. The noise level was almost unbearable. You had to yell to speak to the person next to you.
