   We had enjoyed Monday nights at the Valley Inn for their hamburger special. Well, the special is not so special anymore. It started with a single Angus burger with your choice of cheese and choice of fries or Cole slaw. Now it is two single patties cooked one way which is burnt. Forget the cheese now it is only white American cheese (Kraft) and the fries were soggy from too much oil (no longer the shoestring fries of the past) If you want this burger go to a fast food where you have more choices. Also, in the past you could have changed out the side for an upcharge. No longer available you have to get a regular burger to customize and pay the full price. In my opinion they should not offer this special anymore because the only side available is aggravation when the quality keeps deteriorating.

   Front of the House - Spectacular comes to mind. Both Butch and Patti were in the house. True professionals. Organized. Engaging, Greeting with a smile. Simply wonderful. Wait Staff - Lauren - helpful; attentive; professional; and menu knowledge. Lauren made time to explain a few of the several new or enhanced menu items. Based on new information, I will expand my lunch selections. I look forward to hearing about the additional menu items and ordering some of them. Another true Atlas Restaurant Group brand standard. Meal - Maryland crab soup - bowl with two (2) packages of Oyster crackers. Seasoned; however a bit different than last week. Tasty and worth the selection. Different - a change to me - well worth it. Shrimp cocktail. Again nice prepared - seasoned and tasty. Cleaned and presentation nicely done. Menu - take time to read the new selections. Explore new options. Kitchen - preparing one special menu at a time. Chef Manny was in the house on his off-day to assist with the rollout of new items. Teamwork - works. Parking Lot - still the best. Guests are talking. Clear and sharp lines. Food expeditors - The Expos remain a critical part of the guest experience. Interacting with the guest is appreciated. Offering assistance is an added touch. Communicating with the Wait Staff - priceless. Keep it up!

   My sea bass was delicious and very enjoyable, albeit a small portion of fish considering the price. My dining partner’s crab cake was also delicious and the fries hot and crispy. The service was disappointing - both the food delivery time and the wait staff. Our server was very hospitable, but no where to be found most of the time, as we barely saw him. Even during the extended wait for our meal, we never got a beverage refill request.

   Front of the House - Patti was wonderful. Positive greeting. Wonderful table selection. Wait Staff - Stephanie - menu knowledgeable; helpful; and interactive. Meal - Maryland crab soup and shrimp cocktail. Wonderful. Seasoned and tasty. Lump crab meat visible in the bowl. Cocktail sauce right amount of heat. Solid go to lunch items. Kitchen - Manny and the Team make it happen one meal at a time. Wonderful table visit from the Chef. Genuine person and represents his Team perfectly. A soft mannered and spoken person - true leader. Special requests are his business. Management - Circulating; aware; and interactive - overall a wonderful package. Come see for yourself. Reservations are encouraged. P.S. Patti presented a guest one of her hand made Birthday Cards - the guest had a positive emotional reaction and was amazed of the card's detail and kindness behind it. Way to go Patti - you are the glue that binds everyone together. Special. Special. Special.

   Front of the House - Engaging and helpful. Wait Staff - Destini - helpful; attentive; and professional. Solid recommendations. Meal - Maryland crab soup - bowl. Two (2) packages of Oyster Crackers. Shrimp cocktail. Howard selected Rockfish - wonderful seasoning. App - green fried tomatoes. All solid meals - go to standards. Parking Lot - major improvement. Worthwhile investment.

   Front of the House - Fantastic!!! Patti was up to her well wishes and Holiday treats. Made the Lunch service memorable. Management - Circulating and making a difference. Wonderful conversation; helpful support to the Wait Staff. Teamwork from the top - makes a difference. Food expeditors - friendly and professional. Providing a critical role in ensuring that orders are delivered promptly and accurate. These Team members assist with the overall experience. Wait Staff - Lauren. Super friendly; helpful; genuine; menu knowledgeable; and attentive. Always there clearing plates or refilling a glass. Parking Lot - fresh smell of emulsifier. Great improvement and the investment is appreciated. Teamwork - works - drives return visits and satisfied guests.

    Front of the House - Patti was off (well desired); however, all levels of expectation were met. WOW! Consistent brand quality across the board. Polite; friendly; and knowledgeable. Referring to a guest by their name - priceless. Immediately establishes you being recognized and appreciated. Wait Staff - Lauren - on her consistent "A" game. Attentive; helpful; engaging; and truly a real down to earth person. Plus she has pens - many pens - competing with Bernadette for Best Pen display. Meal - Maryland crab soup - seasoned; tasty; and visible crab meat. Shrimp cocktail - seasoned and tasty. Solid go to lunch option. Kitchen - turning out one wonderful meal at a time. Point of Service system - please ensure that Destini's name is properly reflected. Parking Lot - still showing a high level of appreciation and attention. Ideally guests will stop parking at the entrance and blocking the drive lane. Seat cushions - recovered - Thank you. Back to The Atlas Restaurant Group standard of care and quality.
