This was first time we had visited and we were really looking forward to it - having travelled 1.5 hours to it. We had two bad experiences that brought the mood down in the group. There were oysters served that were so small they should not have been brought out. We raised this and the tiny ones were exchanged in the order of 21 we had placed. And the dressed crab was ridiculously overpriced at £28. The crab was also so small - you could purchase this for a fiver on a fish stall so to put that on a plate with some rocket was not value at all. This was also raised but the response was that’s the size of the crab. . . So disappointing which was a real shame.

My resoto was so heavily spiced I was unable to taste the small amount of crab and the resoto rice was under cooked and grainy.

Probably the best seafood restaurant in Norfolk. Well worth the visit. Both food and scenery are stunning.

A warm welcome and an interesting menu ensured a good birthday lunch, although there were a few hiccups along the way. Being told my the waiter serving our champagne that we should have eaten elsewhere was a tad odd! I think he was joking, but it was a strange thing to say. The scallops were cold, but that was soon rectified. The additional birthday Petit four plate was a nice touch! All in all a very enjoyable experience.
