Tom Ham’s Lighthouse was built in 1971 by a man who was not afraid to put his name on his product. Rooted in warm welcomes & excellent food, Tom Ham made his lifelong dream a reality. Tom Ham’s Lighthouse is the only restaurant in the US to have a USCG operated & maintained Lighthouse attached to it. You can locate us on any modern nautical map as Beacon #9. Featuring a 100% responsibly resourced seafood menu & award winning Sunday Champagne Brunch, we are a must when it comes to the San Diego food scene. The dining room, purposely shaped like the state of California, allows for groups as grand as 50 yet private enough for a couple’s night out. Holiday brunches have been long time family traditions for many San Diegans. Start your family’s tradition this next holiday. With the best views of the Downtown City Skyline, Coronado & San Diego Bay, Tom Ham's is & remains a San Diego tradition in dining excellence since 1971.

This is a premium price for what I feel was not a premium selection. Very few choices, 3 stations (seafood, egg/omlet/pasta, and a group of mixed hot foods). Food was ok seafood was ok, lobster claws are chewy and did jot taste good, crab legs were delicious but overcooked, very hard to get meat out on most. The peak and eat shrimp in my opinion was the best option and you have to eat a lot of shrimp to make up for $90 per person. It is a great view and they are doing something right because they were busy. Service was attentive and overall positive. It will not be on my must return list, I expected more for the cost.

Appetizer fried oysters were great, but main courses wee bland and monochromatic. We really wre hoping for tasty food but very little in either the scallops or my yellow fin catch of the day. If you enjoy the color of Grey Poupon, then you wil love the plating. Ambiance is great but I wish I had eaten at Rubios. Better food at a third of the price.

I’ve been coming here for decades, and Tom Ham’s is reliably good. I’ve tried quite a few items on the lunch and dinner menus and I’ve enjoyed them all. It’s got a fantastic view, and the prices are very reasonable. I always take out-of-town guests there, on the way to/from the airport.

The seafood platter had a considerable spread of shellfish. Every bite was delightfully fresh with complimentary savory garnishes. The Caesar salad was a nice opening to our platter with slices of anchovies perfectly placed. Our group very much enjoyed the warming taste of the creamiest lobster bisque before sharing the steak and vegetables.

I've gone here many times for dinner and have enjoyed it, but we wanted to go for the brunch buffet and it was just as good. The view is an added perk that I love, it's like you're floating on the water.
