   Arrived for a first time visit on a Saturday night for a 7PM reservation and was greeted by the receptionist and seated in a booth within moments. (Note: as a large man with a belly the booth seating was tight). The receptionist provided us with our menus and returned moments later with our flat wear and napkins letting us know the server would be with us shortly. After approx 5 mins we were ready to order and set our menus down and still had no water. Another 5-7 mins passed with wait staff and other staff walking by but not looking in our direction to get there attention. We began to see other tables being waited on who were seated well after us. After another 5 mins I was able to flag down a runner and asked if we could get a waiter. He said yes and ran to grab us waters. A few minutes later a waitress came over and didn’t acknowledge the delay in service and said, “What do you want to order?” No greeting and sounding like she really didn’t want to be there working. We ordered our food and as she began to walk away I asked if I could order a drink because she never asked. The food came out very quickly. My wife ordered the Prime Rib and I ordered the short rib. Both were hot, flavorful and perfectly cooked. As we sat and began to eat the waitress returned to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything. She never again returned or stopped by until we needed to pay. I had to ask another runner for another drink and refill of waters. The restaurant was full and it appeared they had plenty of staff to handle it. I think we must have either got lost in the busyness of the evening or we unfortunately just had a possibly overwhelmed and tired waitress that night. The food was excellent and the price, although a little high, was affordable and relative to the quality of food. I will certainly return to give them another chance and potentially recommend Trancas, but hope the service is more in line with the quality of food and restaurant as a whole.

   Prime rib was super tender and tasty. The grilled artichoke was amazing. Great cocktails. Would definitely recommend.

   This was such a great place to have dinner. The staff was very nice. Service was great and the food was cooked perfectly. There was more than one person always coming to our table just making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

    Service wasn't great, but it was busy. The hostess disappeared for about 5 minutes seating another couple, it was kind of perplexing. The table we were placed at got a cold blast of air every time the door opened, which was pretty frequently. That said, the atmosphere was local and cheery, we loved the patron photos along the walls, and the other diners were a comfortable mix of families, couples on date night, mixed groups, everyone was happy and talking. Food was good, the baked potatoes were piping hot and stayed hot the whole meal. Prime rib was perfectly cooked, and the veggies had a nice bite, they weren't soggy. Will definitely go back for the food and the comfortable local vibe, would recommend.
