   Usually the food is great there, but the same cannot be said for our visit last night. The “crisp Brussel sprout” were soupy, the focaccia appetizer tasted like they decided to avoid salt and it was really bland and unpleasant, but butter for the bread also lacked the typical flavor. In addition, the service was very poor. I ordered a Korean chicken sandwich and received a citrus salmon salad, but since the food took 45 minutes to arrive I thought it would be best to just eat it. I also asked for salt and pepper, since it appeared the kitchen decided to avoid seasoning, and it took the waiter 8 minutes to bring it to the table, when I had roughly 6 bites of my salad left. Even the kids sundae was bad. For some reason they think it’s a good idea to put a gluten free cookie IN the sundae. My son took one bite and it ended there. I’m guessing the season adverse chef also does not have a child, because it would have been a no-brainer to avoid that choice in a child’s dessert.

   Chicken with Spaghetti Squash was very good. The meatloaf was overcooked and 2 sides of the slice were burnt and crunchy. I didn’t eat that part. The meatloaf otherwise was moist and tasty, as were the mashed potatoes and they were served hot , but unfortunately the carrots were cold and I didn’t want to eat them. Service from Jackie was superb!

   I have always enjoyed True Foods in Newport. I ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad today. I was surprised when it came to see it so soggy and with a curry colored dressing. I was okay....but when I got home I looked up my Chinese Salad ingredients. Thinking it was me. Here is what was to be: Yes to chicken, avocado 4 slices on top, picked ginger No sesame seeds, watermelon radish, snap peas, toasted quinoa, roasted almonds, amd No definitely to cashew dressing I had not seen my friend for a year and did not want to make a huge fuss over the order, but thought I should be open to you about my experience. I not a complainer but would not chose a repeat performance for a place to meet friends. Very Very Disappointed !!! This is why the score :(

   A little too loud inside (music) so ate outside. Loved the Panang curry and ancient grains bowls; we've had them multiple times. However this time ww both selected shrimp and it wasn't very fresh tasting. Same thing the last time as well. We recommend the antibiotic chicken for both bowls and you won't be disappointed.

   Kitchen got backed up and one of the orders was delayed. To their credit they boxed it for take away but did not charge.

   Another nice evening! Naomi served us outstandingly well with Derek and Jake checking in on us as well. Alex too. Ancient Grains bowl and Teriyaki Bowl hit the spot.
