   As a person who works in the industry, I get it, holidays are rough sometimes. However, the first guests of the evening should receive the same service as the last guests of the night. From rancid oysters to being informed that what we ordered was no longer available (30 mins after we ordered it) the experience tonight was overall very poor. Service was choppy and very slow. The server didn’t know what cocktail sauce was…?? lol… we sat there for 2 hours only to have spoiled apps. I’m disappointed.

   They didn’t have their act together. Drinks were forgotten, our dinner came while our apps were still at the table. The waiter was hard to track down.

   I went to Tuscan at the Seaport on New Year's and thought it was wonderful, so I decided to try the one in Burlington on Valentine's Day and regretted it. The food wasn't bad, it was disastrous. It was really unpalatable. This was my first and last time going to Tuscan in Burlington.

   The back private room was opened for Valentine’s Day and they had nicely spaced tables with white table clothes and fire in the fireplace. Service was prompt and friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Price was reasonable - mid 30s for a homemade tortellini plate with braised pork and cheese inside- tasted amazing. Salad was creative and tasty with toasted pear, cranberries, and sweetened walnuts. 5 out of 5 for me!

   We ordered from the date night trio menu. I ordered pesto shrimp. The dish was drowning in pesto sauce. So unappetizing and just ruined the dish. Waiter didn’t seem to care when I told him about it. Very disappointed

   It was our first time there. We were a party of 4 and seated in a booth with high sides. At first I thought it would feel claustrophobic, but it was very cozy and we could hear each other well. There wasn't a lot on the menu that appealed to me. I loved my salad, the insalada mista. It was very fresh, with lovely pomegranate seeds and roasted pears, and not over dressed. The individual pizza margherita was ok. More basil and slightly thinner crust would help. The bolognese was very good as was the chocolate gelato.

   We took advantage of the Mon-Thur "date night" special, and were pleased that the menu included several selections from the regular menu, all offered at a substantial discount. The food was excellent, with special mention for the calamari, the bolognese pasta and salmon entree. The dessert selections were not our favorite items, but were properly prepared and very good. The waitstaff was friendly and well trained. We'll happily return.

   Meh. Over-priced, over-salty food. Tables for 2 are cramped. The giant menu was almost as big as the table surface. Very mediocre version of what should be Italian classics. The waiter was loud, attentive but also invasive. One dish came out cold. Don’t waste your money here. There are much better Italian restaurants nearby.

    The Tuscan Kitchen is not what it used to be. Let me start with the positive - our server was excellent, very attentive and responsive to our feedback on the food. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as the service. The charcuterie appetizer had a mix of great accompaniments, good meat choices, and below average cheese. Our entrees were thoroughly disappointing. I have had the osso bucco at least a dozen times over the years - however the version I got this time was not good - bland risotto, very overcooked meat that was a chore to chew and mediocre vegetables. My wife's pasta dish lacked flavor and character. We have come to the Tuscan Kitchen often over the years, however given our most recent experience - I don't think we will be back any time soon.
