Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    The staff was pleasant. We were seated promptly. The food was good for the value. They give huge portions. It was my first time to celebrate my birthday. It’s a real busy area with limited parking but we had no issues at this time. The service was good. I had the seafood rissotto and I found it underseasoned and overcooked shrimp and lobster rubbery. The scallops were cooked perfectly. We had Mac n cheese and crab cakes as appetizers and that was good. My husband had the chili and it was spicy and heavily seasoned well. My husband and son had the meatloaf and it was really good. My other son had the grouper and it was seasoned and cooked well. We tried the key lime dessert and chocolate cake with jam and both didn’t disappoint. The ambiance is nice.

    We started with the charbroiled oysters, crab cakes and wedge salad. All were good portions, fresh and favorable. We wish we had more butter sauce to dip the bread with the oysters, but still excellent. Jocelyn our server was just terrific and her trusty delivery staff made sure the food was hot and served to the right person. Great Job we will be back again.

    Always a great time here We bought our dog out for a late 3rd birthday dinner, she was a little people shy even though everyone wants to come say hi Was a little chilly on the patio However Skylar our server was very acommodating, had Jake and a few others come out to get the outdoor heater working. My hubby’s favorite the meatloaf never disappoints Ravyn enjoyed her doggie burger’s And my filet was perfectly cooked. As chilly as it was today the bacon maple is always a good finale. Will have visitors in town in a couple of weeks this is one of our favorite places to bring our guests.

    Not as good a usual. Baked oysters had grit. We ordered 2 dozen for $98. Waiter did not discount or offer anything in its place. String beans with way too much garlic. It will be awhile til we consider going back.

    It was our first time here. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Everything was amazing. We made reservations but we were able to be seated early. Our waiter, Red, was amazing. The food was delicious. The ambience was great. I look forward to coming back!
