Vaticano Restaurant is a classic Italian eatery serving authentic cuisine from both the Northern and Southern regions of Italy. The interior of the restaurant is a fun and welcoming environment, capturing the spirit of a family dining room in a little town in Italy. Vaticano is home to celebrity chef Felice Vacca, who grew up in Rome and now plies his trade creating unique dishes out of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Everything in the Vaticano restaurant is made from scratch every day. This includes the sauces and pasta, each made fresh and never frozen or kept overnight. Some of the signature dishes at Vaticano include the bucatini amatricina which is pasta with chopped bacon, onions and pecorino in a spiced tomato sauce as well as the pappardelle vaticanus, which is served with mushrooms and caramelized onion in a marsala wine sauce.

A friend and I went to Vaticano for a Winterlicious lunch. Perhaps because it was a Tuesday, we were the only people there. Not so good for the owners, but great for us! We were able to talk easily, and of course we got good service. The food was delicious, especially the lemon chicken. Our meal included a dessert, but we were also brought complementary servings of tiramisu. We took that home. When I finally could eat it, it tasted like heaven. My friend said it was her best Winterlicious ever, and we will definitely go back.

What an absolute GEM!! I cannot wait to go back. Thanks Monica and Luca for a wonderful evening with amazing food and service. Love the old world charm of your decor. Don’t change it. Can’t wait to go back…beyond a 10/10!!!!

Visited for Winterlicious I had the Veal Parm and my wife had the Ravioli and for dessert I had the Tiramisu along with the Strudel and I must say this place is truly AUTHENTIC when it comes to the Italian cuisine. The service was amazing and you just felt like you were at home. Definitely coming back best spot for Italian food in Toronto!!!!!

Everything was good except that automatically put themselves 20% tip without the visible option to change it .

I've never made a poor recommendation in my life! Never seemed that moved by an experience to make one. This time was a bit different. It was a Ghost Town inside, Ambience looks like someone doesn't care about the place, and the foot was terrible. The waiter was a gentleman. He was as attentive as he possibly could've been. I'm sorry Vaticano you should close rather than operate like that Peter - New York City

The Veal Scallopini was a great cut of veal & excellently prepared as were the sides! Servicer was attentive & professional. Decor has needed an update FOREVER!!
