We were rushed by our waiter at an early 5:15 pre theater dinner . We specifically told the waiter we wanted some time spaced between cocktails and food being served. We received our dinner 5 minutes later, very disappointing. The food was not prepared to cook. The rice quality seemed like it was in a steam table for 6 hours. Maybe 4 ounces of chicken with it. We did order desert after being pestering 3 times by waiter. We again said di not bring coffee and desert until cocktails done. Not listened to and came in 5 minutes. Overall very terrible rushed, fair at best food served. Too bad because I used to visit Victor's Cafe in it's hey day in both Miami and NYC. We thought we would try again. Big mistake. Go elsewhere fast. Skip Victor's Cafe.

We requested a nice table and were very pleased with it. The decor is spectacular. Food was good but service was extremely rushed. It was a lot of money to have servers constantly hovering. Our order arrived in what seemed like 5-10 minutes so we didn’t have time to enjoy our conversation.

We really enjoyed the live music, food, excellent service and colorful decor. It’s a must-do experience. We were very impressed with how organized the staff were and team communication was excellent in servicing patrons. It was our favorite place to dine on this trip

Plantains were served cold and too hard as if sitting in the kitchen all day. The lechon or roast pig was very salted. Still tasty but a salt mine. The guacamole appetizer had very little guacamole-it was a mix of chips mostly. We ordered a martini and the glass was not full as if the waiter spilled it. Afterwards we thought after 39 years of going there, we wouldn’t ever go back.
