    A real enjoyable meal. Flew into Austin to spend time with our daughter and wanted to have a first class dinner out. Was not disappointed in the least as every aspect of our dinner was top notch. Our waiter was very professional and friendly (Sam) and had a great personality. The filet mignon ordered medium were cooked medium and were extremely tasty. I had the bourbon pork chop which was cooked perfectly medium. The sides of corn and bacon as well as the mashed potatoes were delicious. To wash all this food down, we drank a Pinot Noir from Oregon which was priced fairly . For dessert, two orders of home made berry sorbet . The three of us were stuffed but not overly. When the check came I did not suffer sticker shock, all facets of the dinner was priced right.

    We enjoyed everything about this place. The food was amazing! Whenever we are back in town we will make it a must repeat on our list during our stay.

    I am comparing this place to similar ones I’ve been to. It is only close in price. My filet was good, however my wife’s scallops came out like warm and not to her liking. The kept filling my Diet Coke with iced tea. The tables didn’t have linens which you would expect at this level. The place is really dark and dated. I would choose Capital Grill, or Eddie V’s over this next time. Dinner for two with no alcohol was $175.

    Not sure I’ve ever had so poor of a service experience. The waiter would disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time and we had to place our dinner order and ask for the check from other staff. We were actually wanting to do a quick dinner and instead it took 2 and 1/2 hours.

    Our waiter seemed cocky, and cut me off mid sentence when ordering my beverage and suggested/up sell their specialty drink. I let that go until after he just picked up a half eaten side of mushrooms. He didn’t ask if we wanted boxed up. I couldn’t stop him because he had already stacked things on top of it. We were still enjoying our drinks when he asked if we wanted dessert. We said no we were full. He then brought our check without asking if wanted another drink. Mind you we were not even there an hour yet. He seemed more interested turning over the table for more tips. We have been to this restaurant multiple times and have never experienced this.

    We have gone to Vince Young Steakhouse for many years, but this was the best visit because we got to meet Mr. Vince Young. What a personable and welcoming person! First class!
