   On our recent trip to Washington House, my fiance and I were amazed by the service. They honestly blew us away. Everything came out so quickly, the servers were attentive and kind. Our food and drinks were all excellent. This was one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. I look forward to our next dinner there soon!

   Before I go into detail, I do want to say this was out first time here, we had an enjoyable evening, and would recommend this restaurant. For appetizers, I ordered the onion soup ($10.00), which had a nice flavor with plenty of cheese added. My husband ordered the Caesar salad, ($15.00). He tries them everywhere he goes, looking for the best of the best. Unfortunately this was a far cry from good, and we would not suggest it. There isn't much to a Caesar to begin with, so it's critical to have a good dressing and flavorful cheese. The most we can say is the lettuce was fresh. The entrees on the other hand were delicious. My husband had the scallops at MP of ($42.00). I had the short rib special with parsnip puree, and heirloom carrots for ($38.00). Both dishes were presented with artistry, texture, and abounded with flavor. For dessert we shared the freshly made Churros ($13.00), and we would suggest these if you want something sweet, but light. Overall, our experience here was pleasant and we will be back.

   Perfect experience for a date night, and you can even bring your little one with you. The food is amazing and the drinks are excellent. We will definitely come back again.

   We celebrated Valentine's Day at Washington House Restaurant. The food and atmosphere were perfect for the occasion. Hearts were decorated everywhere, and a rose was at each table. There was a special Valentine's Day menu. Hubby ordered his favorite fish and chips and loved it. I ordered the chicken and farro salad which I enjoyed very much! We ordered the valentine's day dessert - a tiramisu inspired red velvet cake! Beautiful and delicious!

   Not their fault, but it was really windy last night so in the outdoor dining tent it got a bit loud. Obviously not the restaurants fault. That was literally the only issue. The food, drinks and service were just great and I can’t wait to go back.

    We always loved Washington House, but noticed more recently that much of the food is pre-made. Tuna tartare plate was clearly in the refrigerator with cucumbers that were brown in the mjddle. Salad had wilted yellow lettuce. Service is prompt but a bit rushed. Will certainly go again but was a bit disappointed this evening

    We can assure you that nothing is "pre-made" here - naturally some items are prepped for service, but we don't make dishes ahead and send when ordered. Even the oysters are shucked a la minute. WH Team
