   Absolutely will return! Fantastic ambiance and lighting. Delightful cocktail menu and perfectly cooked meats. We were offered a complimentary wine with our main dishes, to enhance the flavour of the elk.

   Part 1 getting seated Valentine's dinner. Arrived 30 min prior to reservation. Seated in front of main door with cold draft even though there were tables available inside and restaurant never fully occupied. Server said we could start at that table and when another became available we would be moved. Didn't relish the thought of having our meal interrupted to get up and move so we just ordered drinks which never came. We were then seated beside a 'loud talker'. After 10 min of trying to converse with my partner I had little choice but to reluctantly request yet another table change to the maitre d'. I knew this would put us in the wait staff's bad books but I had little option. My request fell on deaf ears. I made a second request 15 min later directly to our waiter who hadn't been informed of the first request. After 45' in the restaurant our cocktails arrived and we were seated at a new table. Rocky start but not terrible. Was a little on edge until seated at a reasonable table.

   For context this was on valentines day and also a birthday. Made a reservation weeks in advance to be told the only seat available was right in front of the door. I asked to move due to the cold and having a generally weak immune system and I was told everything else was full. Behind me were 8 couples were seated further in the restaurant and the staff continued to tell me everything was full. After asking 4 times, I got up and looked for myself and found to available tables. I found the GM who was working and asked to be moved and he made arrangements for it to be done after about 30minutes total. Won’t be dinning here ever again.

   The food is not very fresh, most of the items came to the table luke warm. The service was slow. It has a great interior so cute ambiance.

    We were looking for something special that emphasizes local fare and would work for a pre-theatre dinner. Woods exceeded our expectations on all counts! We were greeted by warm and friendly staff, treated like special guests throughout the dinner by our server David, and loved the special atmosphere including decor and music. The food was amazing. We had seared tuna and steak. Thank you for the delightful experience. Can't wait to return!
