Food, service and atmosphere have all slipped. I value this place but the times have hit hard I think. I’m rooting for them, they understand how to make it work but the economics of SF are forcing restaurants to cut corners and it sadly has impacted Yank Sink. It’s a shadow of its former vibrancy and vast varieties of dim sum. I’m a loyalist, albeit frank.

We were completely ignored by every server/cart that passed our table. We had to continually flag down a server to get every dish and the overall quality of the food is no longer anything special. Yank Sing has been a family favorite for over 30 years and we will not be going back. We left the restaurant exhausted by the whole experience.

Food is always delicious. The welcome service was great and was seated immediately however the table service was slow and sometimes the cart passed us to offer what the have unless you flag it down

The food is excellent but many of their old specialties are gone from the carts, mostly just the basics on the carts now. The cacophony and the very rushed and inattentive service (OK, it was New Years Day, but still!), even in the beautiful old indoor dining room which is now reopened, made for an unrelaxed and not pleasant experience. Too bad. Yank Sing used to be our favorite.

A bit of confusion about the reservation (I'd inadvertently clicked the Rincon as opposed to Stephenson location) was handled quickly and professionally. We waited on the patio while part of our party came from Rincon, and then the delicious dishes started arriving. Thank you Yank Sing for helping my partner's birthday celebration such a success!
