    We visit Zarletti Mequon every 6 weeks or so, and the food is always terrific. The shrimp scampi and pasta dishes rock, as does the chopped salad. Our only challenge revolves around timing. Often times (last three visits), our drinks don't come out slow... after the salad has been served. Likewise, glasses of wine (even when ordered right when initial drinks are served) don't arrive until well after the entree is served. To me management might be well advised to adopt a policy of "it's on time, or it's on us."

    The menu was different so we tried new items. I had the ossobucco but the meat was tough. We also tried the duck ravioli which didn’t taste like duck and had way too much cheese sauce on it. Duck and cheese doesn’t go together well. Another person in our group had the ribeye which was okay. The shrimp scampi was good. The burrata was delicious as always. Ryan was our waiter and he was fantastic.

    The food was excellent and makes up for the slightly slow, inattentive service. Our waiter got our appetizer order wrong. The gluten free pasta is very good.

    Food was very good: braised short ribs and cavatappi. Portions were ample as seems the case with Italian restaurants. We were there early and had no appetizers or dessert.
