The seventh member of Zingerman’s Community of Businesses, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Roadhouse opened in 2003 with the vision of bringing really good American food to the community. The Roadhouse has worked hard to create its own truly unique food culture, transforming high-quality ingredients into traditional, full-flavored dishes after years of studying American foodways.

With chef Bob Bennett at the helm of the kitchen, and our James Beard Award nominated staff’s dedication to great service, the Roadhouse draws in regulars from all over. We welcome our fans from right down the block or from all over the country. Buttermilk Fried Chicken, award-winning Mac ‘n Cheese, NOLA Gumbo, Nashville Hot Chicken, Oyster Po’Boys, full-flavored burgers, and Donut Sundaes are just a few Roadhouse specialties that people look forward to every time they dine with us. Service was very good. One of us had a breakfast sandwich egg was cold cheese not melted. Sausage gravy was disappointing, biscuits way too big for amount of gravy. I had grits dish it was very good but i had to ask for another biscuit as first was way too over baked. Hamburger dish was great and chocolate pancakes were a hit. All in all adults were disappointed but kids were happy.

We always hit up Zingerman’s Roadhouse when we visit from out-of-state. Food and service is always outstanding & a culinary experience. Everything I’ve ever eaten from Zingerman’s has been delicious. Hell, if they made Zingerman’s urinal cakes I’d probably eat ‘em.

As always, food, service and ambiance nice. We always enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at Zingermans. They were ready for us with a perfect. table.

My husband and I visited recently, our waitress was kind but the service in general was pretty subpar. It took much longer than I’d think is acceptable for drinks and for food. The appetizers we ordered came out cold and tasted/ looked like they were not fresh. They also got my husband’s order wrong which caused us to have to wait to eat until they could re-prepare his food and bring it back out to us. We were seated out in the patio back area seating, where the heat was blasting on us for the duration of the service. Overall the food is absolutely not worth the price, considering half of our meal was cold. I hate saying this as this has always been one of our go to spots, but after this visit we probably won’t be back for quite some time.

I have eaten a lot of pierogi in my life but the chicken-fried mushroom pierogi blew my mind. So flavorful with lots of textures, really satisfying. My dad went classic and got the Rueben so of course it was great. Best of all, Nancy made us feel so doted on. One thing to consider: It really gets hopping at lunchtime, so we were happy to have our reservation. The volume level was a little challenging for conversation at times, but when you're at a popular place, you might hear a lot of people around you.

Our server Pete was exceptionally helpful and professional! Exactly what zingermans advertises ! The expediter (the guy who brings out the meals) was very impersonal and awkward. As far as the food we had an issue with the French fries but Pete replaced them with a smile ;)
